Ralph always seemed like a real down-to-earth brother. The best part is there's no showcasing here. No trying to portray a young guy's persona. Just an honest interview. He could have left New Edition many times and left those guys out in the cold as the lead singer, but he was a true team player and a professional. I believe him when he said his portrayal in the movie was the absolute truth. I think he probably put in the most work in terms of keeping the group together.

I completely got it when I saw the movie, totally get feeling some type of way. You know, people can talk all day long about "the group," but if the movie reflected Ralph one-thousand like Ralph says, his heart was all in...his heart was NE all day, all night - every day, 24-7. And at the end of the day, talk is cheap. He stepped up and showed his love for NE through his actions and remained humbled throughout. That said, the behind the scenes producers/execs - WHOEVAH - did not make good on their promises to him, they did not deliver and he obviously feels he missed his "pie in the sky." Rightfully so. From a fan who has followed NE from the beginning, I have to agree with what the man said here. I'm 100 percent behind Ralph. He really never got to be the man. He did his thing, but it didn't hit like BBD or Bobby Brown,but when Johnny gill put new edition on his album with this ones for you. Met this young Man in Memphis and he was extremely well mannered. He answered questions with Yes Sir and Yes Ma'am and this was around 2007 after he was well established. He even joked and said his name was Bobby when an older lady recognized him but couldn't remember his name. I then said to him stop lying everybody knows your name is Johnny and he just laughed. No ego tripping just a very nice young man. It was very refreshing to see.

His sound is New Edition, but I Loved that Johnny come along, no matter that it was originally meant for bad ( no fault of Johnny, who never knew he was meant to replace Ralph), but it turned out for the good. Ralph is a seasoned professional (as are the other 5 members). New Edition was one of my biggest teenage influences. They are blessed to be over 50 while remaining healthy and relevant. I'll tell y'all this..I went on the Tom Joyner cruise I believe it was 2006..I only went because New Edition were on the cruise.. they performed twice and Tom Joyner telling us "if you already went and saw New Edition please don't go the second night and let the other people go see them"..I said to myself he must be crazy if he thinks I'm not going a second time..I paid all that money just to see them and went the second night too..I say this to say that BBD performed late that night and i could not get up to see them..but I did go to a Festival in Miami to see Heads of State (Ralph, Bobby and Johnny) in concert but have not motivated myself to go see RBRM. As much as I love NE and would love to see them go on tour (all six) I'm not mad at Ralph for taking some time out for himself. It appears as if he sacrificed so much for the group that it's time for him to do him for a little while. Can't wait for his new music. #NE4L

I'll tell y'all this..I went on the Tom Joyner cruise I believe it was 2006..I only went because New Edition were on the cruise.. they performed twice and Tom Joyner telling us "if you already went and saw New Edition please don't go the second night and let the other people go see them"..I said to myself he must be crazy if he thinks I'm not going a second time..I paid all that money just to see them and went the second night too..I say this to say that BBD performed late that night and i could not get up to see them..but I did go to a Festival in Miami to see Heads of State (Ralph, Bobby and Johnny) in concert but have not motivated myself to go see RBRM. I loooove Ralph, so if he's not part of it I'm not going. Love you Ralph, best wishes and pray your album is banging. I will be supporting you.

Y'know, Ralph Tresvant was ALWAYS MY FAVORITE member of New Edition! As the group's LEAD SINGER, I always thought that HE should've been the BREAKOUT solo star out of NE. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD how Brown got a HIT solo album before Ralph. I'm so GLAD to hear that he's working on his own STUFF! CONGRATULATIONS Ralph, LOVE YOU!

We will always love Ralph...my 45 year old introduced me to New Edition..I took her to every concert in Oakland...so so fine. I am not the only older sister who like Ralph..just a good human being. They will perform again together.
ralph to me wasn't just the lead singer but seemed like a leader of the group. Always "seeing the bigger picture" and making sacrifices for the group. He was offered a solo career and to be a star at 12 without the group and he said No.. "take us all or nothing". I mean... at that young who acts that mature, loyal and responsible"? He deserves so much more.
I'm so excited to see Ralph doing his thing. He definitely deserves it. I also need NE to work things out. Ne4Life.

If Rickey could dismiss RT so easily, no he was not sincere. BBD will drop RT, when they want to tour. They don't give a damn. He should have made other streams of income. Talking about, they don't know about RT being offered a solo career back then. Yeah right.
