Underrated video. By the way, thank you for mentioning that Tesla was founded here- it’s commonly forgotten! On a side note, the housing crisis here has been terrible. For instance, our 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house has increased in value from 1.4 million all the way to close to 3 million in the past 17 years that my family has lived here.
Thanks! I agree, I think many people think of Tesla and Silicon Valley/California but don't really realize it got its start here :-) The housing crisis is a real challenge - we are more supply constrained here than even Manhattan, since we have such little density. I remember reading a few years ago that in San Mateo County we created over 75,000 new jobs in the preceding five years, and only 5,000-ish new jobs - so not a huge surprise that the people who really want to live here are willing to pay such a premium to be close to work and all that the peninsula has. At the minimum, I'm glad to see more density going in around the downtowns on the peninsula to comply with the state housing mandates and while this will help I don't think it will be the cure. A lot more complicated outside my pay grade for sure! Perhaps on the positive for your family, while you may not be selling, you certainly have a lot more equity than the past.
Very nice photography! Love the fun seasonal events that San Carlos offers!

Would you pay $2 mill for a home with one bathroom?
Fair point. Many people do though, and that’s why the prices are there.
