The necessary Allen key is 1.75mm. I could not find any in the market, so I took a 1.5mm one and I covered the extra 0.25mm with Aluminium tape (i.e. around 0.1mm thick, about 2 to 3 rounds). It works perfectly.
I had the same problem and had to use a piece of tooth pick to take up the extra room to prevent the excessive rotation before the scroll engaged. Think i will be using your technique if I ever have trouble with it again, great idea 💡👍
That worked, thanks so much. I had to drill a hole through the broken end, for the new metal axel to fit through. I used the drill bit as the axel instead of an Allen key. It doesn’t rotate with the same action as the original, maybe the hexagonal Allen key would give the same action, but it works 👍

The hard part was getting the broken shaft out of each side, but I got it with some persistence. I didn't have an allen key that fit, so I used the shaft part of a 1/16" drill bit (cut to length). With this in place I've lost the ability to scroll with the wheel, but I didn't really use that anyway (I actually found it annoying since sometimes I would accidently scroll when just trying to click) and now the center button functions again.

In an insert the piece of Allen key type material from the right in the wheel but it doesn't pass through since there isn't a hole at the other side. A different model perhaps?

This will make the click work but perhaps not the rolling wheel. I used a cut piece of coat hanger fit like glove into the click mechanism. However, the wheel spin did not advance up or down. You must fill the new axel void.

Try this method take the battery out open the remote and check the board for any loose parts where the wheel is located if not get rubbing alcohol then take a tooth brush and clean whee the wheel is located and see if that works

Hi there try to reset your remote control ...Press and hold {OK} and {Mute} buttons for 5 seconds. Power light should blink to indicate reset successful. If it didn’t work l think there is a loose part or broken inside.

I absolutley hate this wheel. What is it for? Just give me a button. Is there a way to "stabilize" it so it just pushed but doesn't move? I'm tempted to get a universal remote and throw this POS into the east river!

I try finding the right size of allen key, but can't find any. 1mm is too loose, 1.5mm can't fit into the scroller (too big). Any advise?

A simple fixe is you can find the little piece to stick through. This is a fatal flaw on this remote. They need to recall it
