7 years later and your video still helping!!! I was losing my mind after filling my tires , light still on. Realized spare has tmps and filled that, light still on. Drove around for a day, light still on. Was about to go to dealership and probably pay some bullshit to get the light removed and then came across your video, light finally off. 😭😭🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thanks for the video!! Super helpful, do you think it’s possible cold weather or rainy conditions could upset a TPS sensor? I reset mine if it comes back I’ll have to take my tires off and look for a nail or puncture ! 😮
Hi temperature change can cause loss of pressure so you just check the tyre pressure and see if one tyre has loss a lot then you could have a puncture. But I would just a check the pressure l, reset the tpms light and wait, if it comes back on then get it checked. Thanks
Taj Tyres ltd do you know how to do this on a 2016 Sest Ibiza ? The car doesn't have the reset button infront of the gear stick like the owners manual says !
If you reset it without checking the pressures first will it automatically come on again if its low? I got air in my tires last week and didnt know how to reset it then
+Ilir Isufi if you dont have a reset button, then it should go off by itself once pressure recognised but if you recently had tyres replaced then the garage may have damaged the sensor so get that checked first?
Madar94 Models with TPMS reset button in glove box Switch ignition ON. Press and hold button until an audible signal is emitted. Drive vehicle to complete reset procedure. The TPMS will learn new values when the vehicle is driven. The time and distance required to complete the procedure is not specified by the manufacturer.
You should’ve have to pay to reset the pressure warning light! They should’ve just helped because it only takes a minute. I’m glad you got it done and the video helped you 🙏🏽
@@arymat9979 What I did discover was there's an auxiliary plug port in the glove compartment. Never noticed it before and the owners manual doesn't mention it. I finally got the TPI light to go off by putting a new set of caps on my tire stems. One of the original caps had a crack.
I got a new rubber stem valve the other day and I’m wondering if this the problem. My aux cord is to the left of glove box. I won’t ever ever ever purchase another VW 🤨 I’ve had nothing but problems since purchasing. Thanks for your help.
@@arymat9979 For me it was an emergency purchase to replace my Saturn Vue. The Vue died and all I could afford was the Jetta. The only issues I've had so far was finally needing to get new tires, getting that TPI light to go off, replacing one tire rim and the muffler. It's a 2007, only had 89K miles when I bought it. I've had it since December 2018. I still miss my Vue because I've been so comfortable driving bigger vehicles than the Jetta.
Incredible! Had a flat tire. It was removed and all tire pressure checked. Light was still on after driving for 2 days. Thank you so much!!!!

Why do you keep leaving out the year of the car in the description?
VERY HELPFUL THANK YOU
The factory recommends 36 psi all around, cold. Read the label on the driver's side door jamb. That's what it's there for.
Thanks for the video !!

okay so if I've reset it and it doesnt come back on I'm good to go?
It will only come on if pressure incorrect I.e low/puncture or sensor faulty

No such button in glove compartment of 2007 VW Jetta. Video was of no assistance.
Same here. No button in my Beetle
