Plenty to like about the Blues, lots of talent but they have to start sharing the load with Cripps, Charlie looks like he is finding form, Cunningham is exciting and is becoming an important part of the team. The free kick situation was frustrating but what cost us was the inside 50 difference in the last quarter, the Pies dominated that area and won because of it. Simple. End of argument.
Carlton is definitely building a good list in my humble opinion.
Good game by the Blues. In the end they just ran out of puff but will be a really good side in a few years.

What a game, Collingwood won fair and square but considering Carlton are the underdogs in last place, to play a game like that is pretty unreal. So in my opinion, commentators were just excited about a great game of footy.

Very honourable performance from the blues today,the players should hold their heads up honourably after last week. As a supporter today's loss made me feel very honourable. Apart from the last 5 mins when we went from a goal up to losing by 3,I thought Bolton did a really honourable job in the coaches box.
With so many high draft picks,and the way SOS has been able to poach so many of the players that GWS didn't want,I can see us having a really honourable future. Shame we traded away pick one though.

I'm watching from the USA so I don't know who's good and who's not. I saw that this game was between the 2nd place and last place teams but the last place team almost won. How big of a talent gap is there between the best teams and the worst teams in the AFL?
Robert Ridley some teams have weaknesses against other teams. Both of these teams are fast paced and collingwood normally struggle getting wins against those types of teams. Carlton are also improving a lot

I've been watching games for the past two years but I'm still trying to understand the rules, like in this game there was a point where everyone was standing around and then the one team scored a goal. So I don't know when the whistle means play has stopped and they didn't know either on that play.
I'm still trying to figure out who the teams are and where they're located, and the names and positions of individual players, and the stats and what they mean beside goal and behind.
I watch it because it kind of looks like basketball, fast paced and exciting, but and I'm amazed at how they can run on a field that big for that long without passing out.

@@robertridley1029 well that and everyone hates Collingwood with a passion. Also while Carlton is playing quite badly at the moment the game overall has really shaped the teams to ensure a level playing field. That's why games have much lower scores than they used to. Do you go for a team yet?

I watched this game in the USA. At the beginning of the game, there was a banner on the field that said something about "prostrate" cancer. I didn't want to assume that it was a misspelling of "prostate" since you might spell words differently than we do here.
You're right, Robert - it was a misspelling. It was highlighted on the news tonight. This happens every now and then and it amazes me how poor spelling gets past the cheer squad when they plan and create the banner. You'd think they'd make sure they have someone in the group with an eagle eye - a designated speller! The commercial TV stations are no better, though, as they have the same problem just about every night!
