Totally brilliant. I'm 71 and an old school singer-songwriter-musician, but Tom has taken the art and gone to another level . He is that rare exquisite individual, like Monet was to painting. Like Stevie Wonder connected with the spiritual so does Tom in another unique way. I am in awe of this. Good luck. Gordon Haskell -singer-songwriter since 1966. But that doesn't mean I'm deaf.

Probably one of the most (if not THE most) beautiful songs ever written. He took a very deep nostalgic bittersweet emotion about lost love, rupture and missing somebody and transformed it into a sublime work of art. He really makes you feel the same he felt which made him write this.

It's been 3 years since my moon sang this song to me and whenever this song plays I always think of him and our could haves. I don't know what is the reason on why he left me hanging. We didn't have proper goodbyes nor a last message. It's been 2 years also of not communicating with him but I do still have feelings for him, from afar, even though I am not updated with what he's up to. I remember hearing this when I was 12 on a spotify playlist called butter. It was mid winter and I first listened to it on the 22nd level of an apartment. I never heard anything like it. I looked out at the city of portland, staring at the cars passing by. Dreaming of scenarios they were in. The jazz fit perfect with the scene. The monologue at the start is beautiful and I would to use it at an audition. I've cried to this song but it's also something that keeps me going. It might be a breakup song but I know his message is to keep going. Life is short and you should surround yourself with good people. The grevience can last long, but we all can't hold onto the past. Tom Misch is such an amazing artist and his fanbase is small, chill, and friendly (every Tom Misch fan I met is wonderful). he will live in my playlists and my heart forever.
