She was good in the "Metamorphosis" episode of the original Star Trek, as the passionless ambassador who died and then found love as she allowed The Companion to experience life through her. Though I wonder how Kirk explained any of this to Starfleet. It's nice that Ms. Donahue has a quiet, peaceful life now away from Hollywood.
In an interview, Elinor said she left the Andy Griffith Show after one season because she was supposed to be Andy's love interest but she felt that there was no chemistry between the characters.
I remember Elinore Donahue as the non judgemental proprietor of the high end boutique in Pretty Woman who was willing to sell Julia Roberts the dress she needed for the event she was to attend with Richard Gere.

Donahue would later claim that Griffith was a "bully and a womanizer" and she was "mysteriously" called at home and told she wouldn't be needed anymore. Donahue told a Tacoma, Washington radio station she was fired from The Andy Griffith Show because she resisted Griffith's advances.
