Through traffic should use I-205 around Portland. Traffic flows pretty well...until you hit the Portland city limits. Then whoa! (although there's a backup of biblical proportions going on southbound near the end). And the Columbia River bridge is built high enough for the ocean-going ships to pass without a drawbridge. This has also had some upgrade work over the years. Go this way if you're not going downtown.

@14:51, I wish more cities would incorporate these types of signs for travel times instead of always using the EMS signs.
