Dude I'm a Marin native who's spent a ridiculous amount of time at Rodeo beach and the rest of the headlands, and as much as I've enjoyed learning new things about rocks and minerals, I've never had someone dig so deeply into the geology that I took for granted as a kid running around the beach. Thanks for giving me the names of the elements that I remember so fondly in the headlands!
I just bought a couple Marin mountain bikes… but on a more serious note, why’d you stop makin’ videos?! You’re awesome. If you ever make it up to Washington State, come check out the Mima mounds. They’ll blow your mind. Also the Tenino Washington sandstone quarry.
Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words. I'd love to get up that way, in fact my buddy Andrew @BetterGeology might have made some videos in your area already. And I'll make some more eventually for sure, just caught up in making ends meet for the moment. But in the meantime enjoy your mountain bike and thanks again!
I have a request, I think you would do an amazing job with this and it would blow peoples minds. They land Mars rover right in ancient shorelines and the shore face geology is obvious from the images. So yeah, Mars geology video would be amazing

Good stuff! You must be a fan of John McPhee.
Thanks! That guy's far more poetic than me, the one thing we have in common is that his book is the 'annals' and my channel is 'poopy'

Great suggestion, I'll look into it. It would be ideal to find one of the rover field test sites, I think there might be some in CA
Green from olivine deep in the core.

Pillow basalt pillows: the latest California trend. Not very comfy, though.
