I started in July and only took one OA with the previous proctor service. I haven’t had an issue with the new service with the 3 I have taken. I scheduled for 2:50 pm Pacific each time and didn’t have to wait more than a few minutes. Getting my ID to clearly be visible has been the only issue and they’ve just asked me to verify the expiration date. I imagine there will be a frustrating experience at some point but so far has been fine.
I'm sorry if I schedule an exam for a certain time and then the proctor takes 3 hours beyond that scheduled exam, that's not on me to change the way I do things thats on the WGU and ProctorU, if the exam only takes 2 hours then I should be able to schedule something 3 hours later. If its available then I expect people to be there, if its not people around don't let me schedule the exam.
that's interesting you say you reflect the computer screen with your phone screen, bc I have need posts that the proctor company has access to your computer while you test and they can access passwords and photos etc all while you take your test... ?! maybe that isn't even true?
Yeah, I seen those posts too. The phone reflection part is just to see if you have sticky notes on the screen. The guardian browser does monitor your screen and provides access to it. As for the passwords & photos, I am not sure why that would need to happen, I would just turn off my computer at that point. Like I said though, your mileage may vary and I believe that could be one persons bad experience

Same here! I also have issues with getting my ID focused but I just flip to my laptops webcam. Keep going on your path!
@@WinatWGU I will try that with mine on the next one. Thank you for sharing your journey and experiences.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Has it gotten better on your end? Also, what steps will you take if it continues to be this way for you?
Do most classes have either an OA or both an OA and performance-based exam now? When i was going to WGU a lot of classes had one or the other.
I think it depends on the course! Most have OA’s but classes like English Composition will be more PA driven
I really haven’t noticed a difference. I’m not sure where all of the negative people are coming from.
Right! It really isn’t any different from before
