- A relaxing walk in Innsbruck on a hot early June Friday late afternoon. The walk starts near the courthouse in the Maximilianstrasse. We walk towards the Triumphpforte, a thriumphal arch which was built by the late empress Maria Theresa.
We then walk down the Maria-Theresien-Straße road towards the old town. In the town's square we can see the Annasäule column and it's a busy day with people from all over the world taking a break here.
We then walk across the Rathaus Shopping Gallery, which takes us to the Marktgraben corner of the old town. We walk towards the main Herzog-Friedrich-Straße road, which is the no-car road leading to the old town center.
An international trail running even is taking place, so the walking path is shared with a set-up trail running section. We walk towards the golden roof and admire the newly renovated medieval and baroque facades.
Then we take a left towards the inn river. On the inn bridge, the name giver of the city, we take a last look at the colorful houses across the road and the mighty inn river with the mountains as a backdrop.

When I was there last it was still the old Rathaus. So I was so happy that you went through the passage way and then when you came out onto Adolf Pichler Platz and headed north I knew I was going to see my Grandmother's house where I lived for about 5 months. (Marktgraben 12)
I couldn't believe my eyes when you went through the passage way from Rennweg to Domplatz as it is the only section of the Altstadt I haven't been.
