I will never understand why this masterpiece is not as popular as some of other Ghibli films. Sure, it doesn't go into a deep analysis of war and nature like Nausicaa or Mononoke, but it's just as good because it depicts the ordinary life of simple young people who want what anyone wants: peace and happiness.
Absolutely love this film. Umi is so strong despite her condition and actually inspire me. Everyone is so nice and fighting for what they believe to and succeed to keeping the clubhouse. It's such an inspiration for me. And despite I'm correct at guessing the ending, it still had me crying. At the end scene where they are told that he see their father in them, that they are as amazing as their father, that was such simple scene but very impactful. And then this song plays and all emotions swarming me..

I just watched it and I really loved it I'm also surprised why is it not as popular as other ones and this is my 10th ghibli movie it's beautiful ❤️
