I always say , want to know how a guy truly feels about you. Pay attention to how he treats you when you both disagree or have relationship arguments. That will tell you exactly what you need to know. Eventually two people will disagree, dont start stuff for fun of it, but pay attention to how you guys disagree.

I had a strange texting relationship with a guy where he would say all the right things, text me all the time, send voice notes etc but never ever ask to see me or even just plan a day to see me. Actions speak louder than words !!

My grandma always told me, you don’t really know someone until 2 years and you meet the representative the first 3 months. Also after my divorce and I was getting back in the scene I asked her for a piece of advice, she said don’t find someone you can’t live without, find someone you can live with. I sand by this and now tell my daughters this.
Aww, what I love even more than your grandma's really wise advice (which is SOOOO on point and I LOVE!) is that you asked her for it and realized how valuable her advice is! I look back at the things my mom said, when I thought she was clueless, but then life happens and you realize most things she nailed and life would've been much easier had I listened!! I'm almost 55 to give this context and you're a smart lady!
We're conditioned not to bruise men's egos so we try to let them down easy. Just tell em the truth less headache for yourself. ❤
Speaking as a man, it's less headache for the guy too. Just be honest, it may not be pleasant at first, but it helps us move on.
You have to be very careful when letting down a guy. You should also do it over the phone and be direct but kind. Some men's ego are very fragile and they will seek revenge.

It's funny cause I feel like when it comes to you, you're the absolute gold standard for when it comes to dating. I have been a fan a long time since Laguna Beach and watched the ups and downs of your dating life. I am sure some of it was for TV but you always seem to be the best at spotting red flags.

I get making space for new things. I’ve had to challenge myself to not use that space for “stuff.” Otherwise we’re just replaying the same consume, consume, consume behavior. There has to be a point when we say, “I do not need yet another -fill in the blank-“ and as a result the purge activity isn’t necessary every season.
The worst part (self included) is having the (storage) space, it’s too easy to fill it.
I think initial texting is like putting your toes in the water, it’s not taking the plunge. It’s testing!

I absolutely adore you girl. This advice is key buttttt if you tell the guy your seeing someone,and months pass by, this guy starts to notice or say "where's pictures of where's posts of this new guy?". Some guys are crazy 🤣 but what do you do than?? When the guy notices your not posting pics or anything about "so called new boyfriend"?? Idk .this stuff is hard omg 😱 dating is seriously stressful anymore. Anyway thanks for the advice. Be safe out there ladies, and let's make these men put the effort In❤
Kristin is a pretty private person so that wouldn’t be a problem for her to deal with. She or no one for that matter *has* to give any sort of an explanation when it comes to who they’re seeing. If a guy constantly asked me about who I was seeing, I’ll assume that he’s highly insecure, unstable and creepy. Chances are you don’t even know this person who tried approaching you and you blew off with the “boyfriend” reason, and vice versa. Yea most dudes are crazy and will obsessively glue themselves to the social media of women who turned them down instead of moving on to work on themselves and pursue other prospects. However maybe tighten your privacy and security settings and hold your social media pages a little closer to your chest while being less accessible so that randos can’t stalk you and ask annoying questions.

Hi Kristin! I was like talking to the TV screen when you mentioned about the all-day texting. I had that happen to me a couple of times. Like you I seem to attract the dirty dogs. I was dating this guy and he texted me so much I had to change my plan with my cellphone company because at the time I didn't have unlimited texting. I didn't know why at first why he was like on my "you know what" all day long. Didn't really figure it out until I broke it off with him for cheating on me with at least 3 women, maybe more, I am sure. He wasn't texting me because he missed me or wanted to see how I was doing. He was texting constantly to find out, basically my location so not to bump into me. He didn't want me to know or see the other women that he was seeing. I was his Girlfriend. He asked me after a couple of weeks of dating to be exclusive with him. Which I thought it was going both ways. He didn't want me to see anyone else, but come to find out he was seeing a lot of women. He would tell me he was working long hours. One of my guy cousin, saw him out with another woman. He tells my cousin that they were just friends, but they were all over each other. My cousin told me and I confronted my so-called Boyfriend. His response was, who did your cousin see him with???? WHAT The F!?! He was seeing at least 3 other women like I had mentioned. What a dirt bag. He was talking about marriage, wanting me to move in with him. I had told him it was way too soon for any of that, he was just trying to make me stuck, so I would have no place to go, if I sold my condo and moved in with him. Which would never be the case, because I have family and friends I could move in with, if things went South with him. He thought he was so slick and that I was so stupid. He is a total narcissist. He told me once we were marriaged he would give up the other women. What a lucky lady, I am NOT. He would constantly either be telling me how wonderful I was or putting me down about how he could do better and how he is doing me a favor because he is sooooo wonderful. NOT. Listen ladies we are the prize not these so-called prince charming's.
I just purged too.. hair n clothes. It was ultimately so satisfying but also really hard! Needed to hear someone else say it out loud.

I've been dating a guy off tinder for about 3 weeks now, he puts in consistent daily effort in texting and making plans to see each other often. We will be going on our 4th date tonight. And he has expressed that he is only interested in pursuing me. But something in my gut is telling me he is a player and that he will hurt me. How do I not get so in my head when he isn't doing anything wrong? How do I know whether to trust my gut or to just keep going? Have always loved you by the way! So happy to be getting your perspective on dating.
Have you recently had a bad experience with a guy that you might be projecting onto him? If not, I would probably say listen to your gut feeling and be careful. Our instincts are often correct.
Always trust your gut. In time you will see it was right. With practice you will get better at walking away from red flags.
Since it sounds like hes moving fast maybe just pump the brakes until hes proven ❤
Go on your time. Don’t let him sweep you off your feet. Keep your boundaries strong and don’t settled for behavior you don’t like. If they put up a fight, run.
Ask him ALOT of questions about himself. Keep him talking! And then discern if he’s the right man for you based on all the info you get.

You are so right, guys should make the first move and I believe it's incumbent on us as men do so, but it takes a lot for men to do that. Essentially we're making ourselves vulnerable, in return, you owe us honesty as difficult as that may be. If a man asks you out and you dont want to go, please say no,. If Kristen is correct about women being pursued, and she is, then she is just as incorrect at the end when she makes up boyfriends instead of saying im not interested. Just say you are no longer interested at any point, we as men deserve that respect. It's the same respect we should be showing you with proper pursuit.

Omg...actual dialogues over text.. CRINGE! I can totally relate..been there done that and learned that it goes NOWHERE! Don't waste your time! Been through so many horror stories! Worst is when you are introduced to someone that is vetted and then turns out to be a waste of time! I've been happily married for almost 2.5 years now together for 6+ years :) so glad I'm not dealing with that ishhh anymore! Made a huge sacrifice moving across country to finally find Mr. Right. Another thing after going through so many FROGS, know that attraction fades if there isn't compatibility. So does infatuation as that is just a temporary feeling and feelings can fade and fade fast.
no texting prior to a first date. The first date should be your gut instincts seeing the truth VS listening to words in a text that could be lies that hook you into their con game.
No to a guy that calls you "honey" or "babe" in the early days = he has a few women on the hook and is making sure he wont call you the wrong name. Beware & steer clear of these guys right away....no second or third date...just move on.
I read a study once that humans within 3 secs can determine if someone is trust worthy or not. this is why there should be no texting prior to the first day. let your gut instincts figure things out if someone is safe or not to go on a second date.

I have a true story regarding this same experience that happened to me years ago. I was dating a guy long distance. I would fly to Connecticut to see him on a regular basis. I noticed how he would always check out other girls in front of me and I thought that was so disrespectful. I absolutely let my feelings be known. Anyway, one weekend when I was visiting, we happened to visit a local bar. I noticed him checking out this girl- and she was purposely walking around trying to get his attention also. On one of her “trips” around the bar I stopped and asked her name- then I brought her over to my boyfriend and introduced them to each other. I said “I noticed you two looking at each other and I thought you might like to meet”. Then I promptly walked out. He came chasing after me, asking me to come back. Not a chance. I arranged for a flight the next morning. I was done. I have to admit, it was one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done😀

I think maybe you're making up boyfriends because men's biggest fear is rejection while women's biggest fear is to be killed. Doesn't mean you think any one particular guy is going to kill you but it's just engrained in us as women. As someone mentioned in an earlier comment, we're conditioned. We're "Supposed to always be nice" so we end up walking on eggshells trying to not upset the applecart.
