The only trusted place to get colored contacts from is pinky paradise in my experience and most people/cosplayers I've heard get colored contacts from them. They also make prescription ones which is cool
I wore ones like the yellow slit ones on the end last Halloween and did a full marching band rehearsal in them! I had to actually rotate them sideways so I could use my peripherals lol

Maybe this is common knowledge or something that already exists, but this video just made me realize that it may be possible to use contact lenses to simulate different types/levels of blindness? I feel like that would be an incredibly useful tool for better understanding/accommodating people with impaired vision. Idk, I got pretty excited by the idea 😅
I def like this too lol I had worked at a Halloween place once never wore costume type contacts but had worn regular contacts… well I wanted to buy some contacts to wear with my costume and bought some all white ones I thought it would be like a mesh pattern kinda like I could see thru ish. Same thing happened to me for my 2D from Gorillaz cosplay, the cosplay was for a convention and I really needed to see things (I like talking and taking pictures with people and buying stuff, I needed my eyes.) I bought another whitey lenses and wore one of them in my right eye (my eye was visible but I could see) and the other white one in my left eye. (Sorry for bad English lmao)
FINALLY contacts that dont have GAPPING holes for your pupils just cuz they FUNKY and dilate! I get you want to see in your cosplay but thats the fun parr is being a fun character and enjoying it you aren't keeping them in forever not to mention cosplay can be uncomfortable but its SOOOO worth it looking this dope!
Ok this is funny to me. Because you say the cosplay is worth feeling a bit uncomfortable and that if you see a bit less well its not the end of the world. BUT as someone who needs glasses or contacts to function it kinda is the end for me to wear these. I wont be able to see or read shit unless t is at a distance of 1m. Just fyi, contacts that won't injure your eyes have to have measurements. If the contacts don't ask for perscription numbers, they won't fit properly. Even if you don't need corrective lenses, everybody's eyes are different sizes and lenses that are too small or big can scratch your eyes, causing big issues in the long run. Edit: theres more to contacts than just the corrective prescription. The shape of your eyes and iris size should also be asked for. This video's website doesn't ask that either, so I wouldn't even use them.
Hell no, I would never pay 10 dollars for contacts, that's way too cheap. Contacts go on your eyes, do NOT buy a cheap pair. Store them properly, clean them properly, and replace them according to the package. If you want to be blind, go ahead and buy the 10 dollar ones. If you want to see, buy the 40 dollar ones.

I hate goggles cuz they make me feel like my eyes are going to pop out so I close my eyes when in water. I am also scared of those eye health detectors that spray fast air at your eye. I think most ppl are just afraid of contacts in general, I have -3.25 and -3.5, so I have to separately buy in multiples of 2 every time (It took me like 3 separate trips to different Donkis, before they had a pair, I mean I even asked for 0.0 so I could try to wear them with glasses, but they never seemed to have stock for those 3 specific levels (˶꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ˶) I even took multiple different brand/coloured slips the second time onwards, and it just felt like a very rare occassion to have even one of them, and I'm always standing there uncomfortably while they search the stock behind them, Also why are the slips still on the shelves when they don't have stock?? I don't quite get why they don't just put the contacts themselves on the shelves, I thought slips were just how it was done at non-pharmacy places, but then I went to Matsukiyo, and they had the boxes for you to search so....I rly don't get it 😭) (tbf, I'm forgetting if the slips of paper included the prescription level or just the colour/brand,, But still,, why were they almost always out of stock 😭??)

what sucks about contacts without a round pupil is they will continuously rotate on your eyeball - so cat eyes for instance don’t work a you will constant have diagonal or horizontal pupils 😂
I've worn circle lenses like these and I never had trouble seeing... I think because it's so close you don't really see it... or maybe it's like the nose thing and the brain just ignores it. Thank you for sharing this so often I find that no one talks about this but if you have good eyesight it's likely the mesh or pupil shape will have little to no effect on your vision. My very normal shaped white contacts do cause a very small almost unnoticeable white halo around my vision

I couldn't order a drink with out a friend helping me. You cant see faces only shapes and colours.😅 no I didnt use this brand though lol

Once went to convention with the cat eye lenses, you really have to pay attention if it shifts, because I went from a cat to goat without noticing 😂
