Because revolutionary French thought that Grav that is 1 Grav = 1 kilogram were too big for the masses... So they came up with smaller unit, messing up the whole thing...
they are but example acc is m/s2 but we often write it as ms-2 so thats what he did like we just shift 2 to the numerator and so we change the sign. do you get it???
doing physics and have to learn the metric system kinda sucks. Not the system itself just wish America would teach this in middle school because almost all the rest of the world uses the metric system
Why do none of these explanations start by telling you what we mean by 'derived'? Does it sound silly that we use upper case just because a term is named after a Lord? i.e. Kelvin? who cares whether it's upper case or lower case anyway?
If anyone wanted to know
pascal = kgm-1s-2
hertz = s-1
How did you work out Hertz
@@RWC-Ichigo frequency= 1/ T. so T=seconds. therefore f= 1 / s. bring s up and therefore it becomes s-1.
@@senathrandila8874 ohh thank you,I didn't think of it like that😅
@@RWC-Ichigo no probs👍👍
Thanks bruh
They did Nelson Candela dirty

The S.I. base units are fun to learn, but I wish that all Americans should use such units in day-to-day life. :-)
Daniel Luster no because than every thing will be difficult you know how example newton saying 15N instead 15kgms^-2
@@simpleqaseem1655 Oh, yeah. ^^;
Daniel please stop these communist ideas!
@@wolfnomis8138 of course, they need to stop 😂
@@wolfnomis8138 that's not communism nor are all things in communism bad
Well explained !!
VERY helpful! Thank you!!!
Great explanation!
Thanks, sir! Really helpful and so well explained.
Thank you so much! really helped!
Thank you so much for this helpful video we are understand toooo much
What is the ampere unit of force and how is that unit derived?
thanks for explaining a part of my physics syllabus
what about radain and stradain basic or derived
Why is mass misured in kg (1000 g) instead of g like all other units?
99% of the time grams are too little to make a good use of. Hell even kilos are hard to use at times.
Because revolutionary French thought that Grav that is 1 Grav = 1 kilogram were too big for the masses... So they came up with smaller unit, messing up the whole thing...
thanks so much it has really helped.
You're great
Love Andrew
Thanks sir really helpful 👍
It was really helpful thanku so much sir!
nice thank you
Thank u so much this was very helpful
Munya Khumalo important questions 2 chapter me bta do

This is same but not complex
i forgot to study simple stuff like this and got 71/100 on my unit test fuck
Well done man!
:/ now I have an 89 and will have to study hard for the final
relatable
Thank you sir
what is the difference between SI units and SI derived units?
Si units are the main units which are 7 in number whilst derived units are units gotten from the main units which are known as the fundamental units
What about Resistance (ohms)? Is that base SI or derived SI?
Ohms is derived SI
thanks
Hmhmm
God bless easy simple explaining

In urdu.. U will be amazed to have such knowledge
I just need to know at 4:47 why you put -2 in front of s but only 2 in front of m. Aren't they both squared??
they are but example acc is m/s2 but we often write it as ms-2 so thats what he did like we just shift 2 to the numerator and so we change the sign. do you get it???
@@hunainzulfiqar9757 not really
@@seamad8117 well if you move any thing from denominater to numerator you change the sign so +2 becomes -2

Thank you Sir for this
units named after a pers.on doesn't have a capital letter in their name but in symbol(physics's grammar)eg: N, newton
why are they named after these people ???
Thanks
thank for so much

why didn't you derive Hertz and Pascal?????
idfk, lazy **
i lost a mark for pascal in my external, in circles, if he just solved it...fu*kin hell
Oni Grace he literally just said don't use capital for those two
ahaha
because it's not hard? he taught you how to do it for the other two so its really not difficult to apply the knowledge to the other two equations.
Tq sir
is kgms-2 a base unit and newton(N) a derived unit?🙁
yes (base units) and yes :D
@@aimanghazi7043 thanks
Newton is not a drived unit it's just the name of the basic unit and it is used for ease
And kgms-2 is basic drived unit
Why Power is not considered as a derived SI unit
it is a derived unit dude
why arent there that many comments lmao, my school is shit at explaining

what are derived units
what’s the definition
You write the symbol for velocity and you say speed which is just confusing and not right scientifically.
Lana Pshtiwan speed and velocity have the same symbol and you are right because velocity is the rate of change of speed in a specified direction
We're having an online class and I don't fucking get a single thing
Why do none of these explanations start by telling you what we mean by 'derived'? Does it sound silly that we use upper case just because a term is named after a Lord? i.e. Kelvin? who cares whether it's upper case or lower case anyway?
