- Bulleid Merchant Navy class Pacific No. 35018 'British India Line' is seen passing Mill Lane, Standon, between Crewe and Stafford on Tuesday 4th June 2024.
She was running from Carnforth to Southall, hauling a rake of carriages before heading to Swanage with them.
Unfortunately a northbound Freightliner service from Felixstowe to Trafford Park wanted to get in in the act, but luckily it only partially succeeded!
Also featured are two of Avanti West Coast's new class 805 trains. First 805002 with an ECS working from Oxley Carriage Maintenance Depot to Crewe, then 805003+805008 with a Holyhead to London Euston service.
Great video! I saw 35018 at Taplow today.
Good job the freightliner train got out of the way quick enough for you to get to see 35018
Yes, had me worried! First northbound freight in the half hour I waited and it almost bowled me!
@@staffordianbut luckily it got out of the way just in the nick of time for you to see 35018
Rob, Bad luck but well recovered. Regards, John
Thanks John. Not a totally wasted outing! Cheers, Rob
You made it then Rob, that's the down side of the WCML quad track wherever you go. At least it got better not worse lol.Cheers, Brian.
Yes Brian, hard to find anywhere risk free, except perhaps a station, and stations bring their own problems lol. I was lucky with the weather, but not the freight! Cheers, Rob
I’ve seen that 805 unit before at Crewe via railcam
First 805 I've seen 😊
@@staffordianyeah and not long to go until the 807 unit arrives Rob
