THOSE DANCERS WERE GIVING IT THEIR ALL. They were all fantastic but imagine doing the choreography in a heavy, 1000 degree donkey suit with no peripheral vision 😳. True professionals

What this tells me is that she needed a few more takes in the recording booth. This sounds SO MUCH better than the version in the movie, she clearly has the jobs
Wish I could agree with you but I think the recorded version in the movie sounds better. Perhaps it was nerves performing the song live or she needed more warm-up time. Several times in this performance, she was off-key or her voice seemed strained.

I think her voice really suits the character! Which is more important than it being “perfect”, but yeah, I mean the live version was rougher:) but it doesn’t benefit from multiple retakes and a closed studio setting!
She was also doing choreography while live:)
I think the beginning was the most rough but once she got used to being in front of that crowd that night she started getting into it:)
@Lupin788 She was off-pitch throughout, it was difficult to listen to... I think she's not an experienced singer. But I loved the choreography and the stage direction!
@@Lupin788 the way she sings the voice as the character is really difficult, imagine that pressure (no pun intended) of performing such a difficult song live without much live-training

Amazing sounded so goof in the movie but is awful and off key at times here. Have a feeling there was a lot of auto tuning to get that deeper voice they wanted.
I've seen a lot of this performance. I think the cast didn't have enough warm up time. I've seen several of them live and they usually sound much better.

@@Thehouseoffail Same. Jessica has a couple different live versions on her channel. They are a little jazzier but her voice holds up all the same.
