The gap between aoe weapons and fun alternatives like the Tigris is so sad, you have to put 2 or 3 utility mods (Reload speed, magazine capacity and/or punch through) to get less damage and a fraction of the clear potential
yeah aoe is just king sadly. You can make single target shit work if you use broken frames but aoe just makes single target shit
true, if they ever cap AOE weapons or just nerf them warframe will be much more fun. its hard to run missions without AOE wep knowing you are just making it harder for yourself :/

At one point, the only weapon that had any hope of getting anywhere near Tigris primes killing power was the vaykor hek. There was even a bug where you could get insta 3 shots by building for extra mag size and binding your trigger to a macro. How times have changed... Though soma prime was easily the strongest rapid fire gun.

Gauss' crazy stupid high speed makes jut about any weapon more fun, even the slowest of slow work with him!
Nikana + Dash + Redline with Gauss is Zenitsu from KnY levels of hilarity by itself, now I get a gun with a mediocre DPS and WHAM I have something decent.
ye i find weapons like arca plasmor and envoy where both the reload and fire rate are slow unusable without Gauss for me lol. He just brings out their true potentials.

Ya about that...I don't know how far it has spread by now, but they removed the auto reload delay on Vectis...I have't used Vectis since, shit just doesn't feel right...
It *used* to be like that but they've *fixed* it.
And by "fixed" I mean the reload will *always* be delayed by the fire rate.

For anyone who doesn't know/remember why Tigris fell from its throne.
De nerfed 100% status shotguns very very hard. They completely changed the mechanics of the pellets and the status chance. 100% status chance on shotguns no longer means every single pellet will proc a status effect. Just that atleast 1 pellet will proc a status.
Hence the rise of the sluggers. Like arca plasmor. They were simply buffed by that update.

That's just incorrect. They changed the status calculation so that on shotguns it's not "you need 100% or you won't do any status effects at all" like how it used to be.
Before, the displayed status chance was *the chance of at least one of the pellets proccing*, the exact thing you're saying it is now. Now, the displayed status is for each and every pellet. If you have a 10% status, every pellet has a 10% chance of proccing a status. Before, it would've been 10% chance that one of them procs.
At least know what actually happened before calling it a nerf

Everyone remembers why 100% status shotguns used to be kings. All of those people also remember everyone saying the difference between 99.99% and 100% status shotguns was between night and day.
Please mate. If you need an explanation then I'd be happy to walk you through the old mechanics but this was meant to be a small reminder of what it used to be and why it is where it is at now.
@@maevixie7041 after rereading my post I think I'll just put the mechanic in here because you yourself don't understand why 100% status chance shotguns used to be meta.
Status chance used to cap out at 100% and due to the way it was coded. Every time you pulled the triger of a shotgun, the status chance displayed on the arsenal told the chance that a pellet from the whole shot (i.e trigger pull) would proc a status.
At 99% it was guaranteed with a 99% chance that 1 pellet would proc status. But at 100% the status cap. The game would cause every single pellet the shotgun spewed, to proc a status effect. Tigris is a slash shotgun. I don't need to explain why 20 slash procs from one of the (back then) highest (base) damage weapons killed absolutely everything.
De changed status. They removed the 100% cap and added an exponential curve if I remember correctly for how many status effects will be procced from a trigger pull on shotguns. Basically this meant at 100% status chance, every single trigger pull no longer fires pellets with 100% status chance. Just that with each trigger pull, 1 status proc will be guaranteed. This is the mechanic now.
Know the mechanics I'm referring to now?
@@prateekkarn9277 as I said, before the status change, it was either you get 100% status chance on your shotgun or you basically never get a single status proc because the displayed status chance was the chance that one out of all will proc.
Now, the displayed status chance is for each projectile. If you have 10 pellets and 10% status/projectile, the probability of at least one status proc is 1 - 0.9^10, which is roughly 0.65.
Before, if you had 10 pellets and 50% total status chance, your status/projectile (the chance of each projectile on its own proccing status) was 0.067.
It's literally just math, and you're not getting it
Old status chance formula, taken straight from the wiki:
Chance per Pellet = 1 − (1 − Status Chance)^(1 ÷ Pellet Count)
Basic probability equation:
Chance of at least one status= 1 - (1 - Status Chance)^(Pellet Count)
If you put these in any graphical calculator, you'll see that the old one, at 98% displayed status, only had a 33% that *one* pellet procced a status. The exponential curve is there as well.
And I don't understand what you mean by 100% cap. That's literally one of the things they removed. If you somehowe reach 100% status chance per projectile on a pellet based shotgun, all of the pellets will proc because, if you don't understand what "per projectile" means, it means that every single pellet has that status chance.

smeeta instant reload + energized munitions results in instant reloads for the remainder of the mission, it's not very good having to wait for the buff on a mission to mission basis but endurance or simulacrum it's nice to see how much you can get out of stuff with instant permanent reloads :)

Okay, but hear me out: What if instead of being useless, Blast Procs instead functioned like Thunderbolt mod for bows, but actually good. As in when you proc Blast it creates an aoe blast around the target (that shares the crit chance), with the damage and radius scaling with the number of blast procs, with this effect being reduced significantly on already AoE weapons. That way single target weapons can actually have a chance to be meta by modding them for Blast?
I imagine everyone would build everything for blast

I prefer that instead of being a useless status.
My idea was to make gas status effect spread all the other status effects the weapon applied on one enemy in a 10m range, starting from 6 meters as it is rn. You can also shoot walls and floor with it and it would still create gas clouds which can proc every mod your gun has and it would work with Galvanized Aptitude and the likes of it. So if your weapon has Hunter Munitions or slash on its own, it would apply it. If your weapon has impact procs slash because of those mods, it would apply that slash as well. But it would only be effective on normal weapons since AoE ones will get a lot higher numbers with Viral and I don't think it would be better to go for gas on everything. Just make it scale with Aptitude and problem solved.

I main Ignis Wraith but I have a huge love of the Opticor Vandal. Sadly sheer volume of enemies makes AE weapons the top dog. Does not stop the Vandal from being a hoot though, cant shoot dudes through a door with AE guns. heck sometimes the Opticor Vandal will hit Guardian Eximus through their shield wall, big honkin space gun as Jack O'Neill would say it.
@@filanfyretracker I am also a fan of the Ignis. My top 3 most used weapons are 1:Vermisplicer Primary (My favorite weapon) 2: Ignis Wraith, 3: Tenet Arca-Plasmor. Back in the day my top 3 use to be Tigris Prime, Sancti Tigris and the normal Arca Plasmor.
The build is awesome, but i find it sad that the augment would be "meh" just on its own.
The Tigris was the very first time I felt powerful in Warframe way back in 2015. Glad to see DE throw SOME kind of bone for it.

Lol guess I'm putting in a second comment for the algorithm. I really appreciated the magazine capacity mod for the tigris, and the tigris is still my go-to weapon for index grinding. It just really sucks that you have to give the weapon so many usability mods to make it work.
Honestly, I'd be fine with Tigris being a bad room cleaner if it did its main job well, but it just doesn't. You'd need to give it at least 17% crit chance. And since this mod is begging for headshots, it'd synergize much better, give it useful access to hunter mumu, and make the tigris p a direct upgrade to the sancti tigris instead of the sancti one being debatably better.

Now i got it into my hand and shit is slow as fuck lel.
Pro Tip:
For high fire rate semi auto guns, get an autoclicker and set it to "hold to autoclick" then set the trigger to your mouse button and you can just hold the button down for whatever rate of fire you want, I typically set my autoclicker to 10clicks/second (Also good for Jakobs guns in Borderlands)

Even if the Meta is explosive weapons and AoE style abilities and guns/melee it is practically impossible to change the meta away from that aside from mass crippling every AoE effect in the game. At the least we have very fun guns and melee weapons.
