Dimash is adored in China, its where he launched into stardom, because the Chinese recognised his greatness! All of his Chinese performances are something special, theres something so deep about this connection. For the I Am singer competition he learned Mandarin phonetically for several of his performances, not knowing the language at all, and apparently nailed it all times!. So watch Autumn Strong from that show, 1000 Miles a Common Dream (solo performance), Let It Be, Durdarai, all of his Chinese performances are incredible. This is an Event in China. Dimash sang 3 songs. You can see on your screen the second song he sang....GOLDEN !! And when it's an Event, there are others singers, not only Dimash. I think that's why the song was short.
What Dimash did in this song was impressive: He gave the kids the spotlight! He let them open the song, accommodated themselves to their limitations, led them, played a measured solo, prepared a "bed" for the children to shine and finished by tucking them in! There may be more beautiful, more technical, more touching versions... But no one can dispute that this version warms our hearts and souls through its simplicity and commitment to little ones!
