Best motorcycle drag channel on the planet, saw Jim McClure at Willowbank in the late 80's fire ball, flame out and come back down the return road, smoking leathers . Washed himself down rebuilt the bike. Legend.
12/14/22 EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT interview!!! My goodness, you do such a fabulous job. When this sport finally gets the exposure it so much deserves, everyone will owe you a huge thank you for the hard work, quality reporting, and enthusiasm you put into each video!! I tip my hat to you my friend. Fan for life 🏁
This is by far u're best video I've watched. Old 2 stroke I rode back in 70s trapped 130, 135 at strip. But I'd still swing a leg over 1 of those bike's today.
@@cycledrag ....hey Jack I really enjoy your channel and your dedication to the 2 wheel community . As far as my favorite harley I don't have one lol. The fastest , Loudest one I guess. Zx14s are my favorite but zx10 and Gsxr1000 are monsters.....my favorite drag machine is top fuel funnycars , the smell and sound is intoxicating . I go every chance I get. I live in shelby N.C. only 8 miles from shadyside . When will you be back to our little track again
I always respected jonnie . being some one who started racing an ironhead sportster in the street class in 1992 to building an evo sportster in 94 and claiming all the records in 97. To racing a prodragster in 1998 .what is now called pro fuel . I bought my prodrag from jay turner . Jay told me that it went straight every time and it did in 1998 there were around 20 to 30 prodragsters,at every race and the top 16 were very close in time when jonnie came out with his combo and school it brought in alot of millionares which was good for nitro racing as a,whole . But for guys that only had one motor it was hard to compete plus the ahdra would race in colorado then go to ohio then flordia ect instead of putting tbe races in tne best possible order instead of crisscrossing the countey every other week in a 2 year time frame the class went from 20 plus to less than 8 . I spent more money getting to the track plus having to pay to get into the track than maintence on my bike . While i did not have the money i had sponsors that were some of the greatest nitro harley racers ever Bill furr orangeburg cycle the john force of my world gave me a complete motor after i destroyed mine after qyalifing 1st at my second ever race i told bill i could not afford to even repair his motor if i broke it he said what it is is what it is win the race and dont break it.i did that very thing . And he told me to keep it . Jim mcclure gave me blem lighting rods earl calhoon gave me straps for the motor . And of course that bull dawg JAY TURNER . none of it would hace happened with out him . I was sucessful until 4 guys with anunlimited budget showed up cant beat money but all seen the back of my bike everytime i raced one of them even i could not afford to make all the races 1999 in the ADBA sanction i won 4 races and still lost the championship to a man who never beat me .

Much appreciated video. The reliability of this class will get more involved without taking an arm & a leg.

I've had four Kawasaki H-2 750 two strokes. They'd do 117 mph.. wound out 8,700 rpm. in 5th gear.🤔
@@ricktaylor3748 I had my Kawasaki 750 built just a bit an ran a bigger tire than stock. Wish I still had it.

This is an awesome channel. You do a great job.
Mr. Vickers should know about anything that burns nitromethane and is Harley. Top Fuel or Pro Fuel HD, I enjoy.
