Harmony and melody found each other
Underrated
LMAOOOOO
this is a singularity moment. I'm surprised that universe didn't implode.
It would take Victor Wooten playing the bass, and Herbie Hancock playing another piano for the universe to implode
Now imagine Jacob Collier, Cory Henry and Jesus Molina at the same piano. Its like The Big Bang again.
I like your comment but big bang Never exist
That’s the day everything changes
Yes I can L
Throw in Justin Shultz as the wildcard!

watched this the minute he breathed that this existed
These guys seem talented. They should make more music
Two guys that accepted the challenge. And know that’s rare
it's such a world we are here for that these 2 can play the same piano at the same time
Unfair, so much talent between them both. God bless them!
Rumor has it the piano press charges
Lol
Perfect theory vs. Perfect intuition
Cory: “just, play random scales, combine one into another”
Jacob: “like, throw in random jazz chords and harmonize”
Cory + Jacob: "It's just the C blues, with a little spice..."
Me: 12 years of piano, studying music theory. 12 YEARS OF IT!! IN AZKABAN!!
Dude! I know they've done performances together but didn't know that they'd ever just jammed together like that. So badass!
0:46 that switch from 4/4 to 5/4
This must’ve been what it was like to watch Oscar Peterson for the first time back then
Or Art Tatum or Jonny Costa
These guys have potential i hope they'll learn more.
In a parallel universe this video is 15 minutes long, and that's how I know we're not in the right one.
my girlfriend just said "it sounds like when you're in the guitar center and everyone is all playing at the same time". She's not wrong.... but i dig it.
perfect comment ;p
my first thought when seeing the thumbnail was why is this only one minute long?
Another old joke: after this, the piano lit a cigarette and smoked for a while in silence.
When two giants meet!
Cory es el soldado universal de la música actualmente. Que mano derecha tan criminal.
"Name a more iconic Duo than ....."
Me:
Crazy 🔥🔥🔥 jam session lol
Just insane !!! Wow 🤩

Yes mctyner, I agree!
Scientists struggling to find what there is into a black hole
The actual answer:

Tatum does that solo.
i really hope the piano gave consent
"C- Blues Jam explained" Have you seen the video?
I dont see the Blues any more🤣
Just to be sure - this is the ONLY video of this improvisation ? There's no fuller version, say by 20 secs ?

That piano needs a cigarette.
Okay, now make it sound good.
Blues?

Can you please invite me to watch the private videos, I beg you
turkmen carpet
It honestly kind of sounds like shit to me, but it's undeniably impressive.
FUCK he lost it at 0:50 haha
Not sure how this doesnt sound like blues lmao...
It’s all super impressive and they are prodigies of our time, but where is the music? If you have all the best spices in the world don’t use them all for one dish.
Music Circle “improvising.” Improving trchnically isnt a word, at least in jazz contrxt
That you just can't handle it, doesn't mean it isn't music.
Taste is subjective. Many jazz nerds actually enjoy this. Wild right?
WTF
I guess you have to start somewhere. Nice try, boys 👍
When you don’t have any real traditional jazz language or phrasing, it is easier to play random sequences or playing “out.”
Playing the blues traditionally such as Meade lux Lewis, prez, or Fatha Hines is no easy feat. Playing the blues in a bebop style is also demanding as it it requires players to know the music precisely that precedes and displace phrasing. Now the newer crop of musicians want to play jazz but why is everything reharmonized or played outside of conventional norms?
The answers lie in when these players actually try to play a bebop tune and try to phrase and play in .... they can’t , they totally bypassed this stage and went straight to the modern stuff ....
Smoke and mirrors, not buying it ....
Hahahah nice joke
I understood what was happening on that piano more than I understood this comment, and that's saying something.
Thank Christ someone said something. I would have said that it's just absolute shit, but you were kinder.
jacob can do lovely straight-ahead bill evans-style jazz and corey has demonstrated his traditional gospel roots frequently. I think maybe you are a bebop fan just looking for bebop and upset that it's not there
