Going to buy pigs from you...for sure by Spring; thought I was going to be able to make it this Fall but I have too many things to take care of this Fall and I want to do it right and make sure that I have everything together for their home, fencing, wallow etc. Can't wait though!

When we got our kunekune pigs the breeder had the bore in with the sows. It was kinda chaotic but we got to see all of their temperaments. We love them so far
Thank you. New Subscriber. Our stud is a Meishan. We couldn't find a Mangalista gilt. So we have a Kunekune Gilt. Both are 4 months old. We also bought one of each, barrows for company. Do you crossbreed?
We bought babies one male ,one female.now 5 mo. Old in the same pin with our chicken's. So we can't keep them together? Have a very tiny yard n no grass.
@KCFarms oh awesome :) thank you! What is your experience with stillbirth piglets? I had friends who bred 4 gilts and only 2 babies made it out of 10. Is that normal? What could cause that? Also is it OK to breed a sister and brother? Or is that asking for issues.

We do just so we know who is breeding who
When the milk line forms how long typically until they birth?
All pigs are a little different but once you can express milk piglet usually come within 24 hours

Actually happened to us this year and went out two weeks ago and found unfortunately dead piglets 😢

Do you feed the pregnant girls more? Or do you give them more food if you plan to breed them?
You don’t want to up feed until they have their litter then you can give them more since they are feeding the babies

You aren't supposed to bread siblings of anything I'm assuming but I could be wrong @@mendingmandy869
Have u had any still borns or issues with mom laying on them?
Had a few of both. Not a huge issue but it does happen
