Is it me, or is this incredibly "clean"? EVERYTHING after 2008, every year, sounds like it got a layer of constant noise under it, like they went just a bit too far with the loudness meter and never went back

@@anntyler6902 yeah. Making trance "without sounding like someone else" is super hard, even talented producers still struggle. I think 2008 is the peak of trance, after that everything fall deep into the ground. Until now I find that giuseppe ottaviani is doing great. His sound pretty much stand out from the rest. You should check him out.
I think i know what you mean, though I'm no audiotech expert. I've always felt that the 2008 mix had a wonderful "purity" about it, but that was more to do with the actual melodies - probably about 20 or 30 exceptionally beautiful tunes which really stand apart. Subsequent year mixes became more and more infused with harsher sounds. I still love most of them, but there's something very special about 2008. 2009 - the last third particularly - is nearly as good though. 2010 is a drop-off, and the tone and mood started changing significantly from 2011 onwards. Still some great mixes, but different from before.

Haha this was what I used to do when we would roll and just drive around blowing up to this album we would go through that car wash a dozen times just having fun rolling balls man 🤣 and I have been sober for 5yrs and last night this saved my life LMAO I was on one rolling faced AF it was great I missed that feeling but now I can see why I quit lol idk how tf I did this everyday for an entire year lol it's just that night afterwards and then there's always at least 1 person in the group that wants to do it again tonight or buy more which meant I had to test it out and make sure they were legit only I knew how to buy it somehow made the connects and then I lost them all during the pandemic smh. But it's a ton of fun lol then that whole next day ur like I'm good I don't even wanna think about it for a while but u have that 24hr for you to do it again and keep the roll going causing you more damage and having a still lack luster experience not in par with the other one that is actually impossible to reach again unless u take really long breaks between each space them out lol. The creator of it says that u should only do it about a dozen times per ones lifetime that makes sense lol source a clean tested gram and then just sit on it for years n years n then when u get a wild hair up ur arse then do it lol that's why I just did it was like screw it been 5yr I been wanting to do it if at least to be known for sure that I'm done with it and we had some great times amazing nights wouldn't trade for the world but there's more to life lol. I rather take some LSD and shrooms and DMT and weed these days it takes a lot of courage to trip or to roll I get the same come up anxiety lol. Is it me, or is this incredibly "clean"? EVERYTHING after 2008, every year, sounds like it got a layer of constant noise under it, like they went just a bit too far with the loudness meter and never went back

2008 was the year of the fall of Trance. Where electro, tech, and minimal sounds invaded and infected the pure sound of Trance
My theory is there is only a finite way to make great trance without sounding like someone else? I could be totally incorrect, for I am not a music producer.
@@anntyler6902 yeah. Making trance "without sounding like someone else" is super hard, even talented producers still struggle. I think 2008 is the peak of trance, after that everything fall deep into the ground. Until now I find that giuseppe ottaviani is doing great. His sound pretty much stand out from the rest. You should check him out.
I think i know what you mean, though I'm no audiotech expert. I've always felt that the 2008 mix had a wonderful "purity" about it, but that was more to do with the actual melodies - probably about 20 or 30 exceptionally beautiful tunes which really stand apart. Subsequent year mixes became more and more infused with harsher sounds. I still love most of them, but there's something very special about 2008.
2009 - the last third particularly - is nearly as good though. 2010 is a drop-off, and the tone and mood started changing significantly from 2011 onwards. Still some great mixes, but different from before.
