Moneeza I have the privilege to meet u and also visited ur home once twice. Found u so natural intelligent kind, one can feel the Faiz s aura around u. I feel Faiz sabh close to my heart n what a person n poet he was. A revolutionary n radically liberal n super creative mind n heart far ahead his time. Today his poetry seems more relevant to our country situation.

Today my country is accupied by army….now I completely understand what has done with the nation….how we have deceived by the generals……now I remember Faiz…….how army deface his image …….how his image changed before the people of Pakistan…..how army made nation sleep…..how nation was controlled by giving a scripted curriculum….how nation was made backward…….how nation was made to sing the Taranas of army……and what the army did…..devided the homeland ….devide the nation by making garrisons……all that is nation facing today….

فیض واقعی ملحد نہیں تھے۔ میں انھیں بطور ایک کمیونسٹ کے پسند نہیں کرتا تھا لیکن ان کے ایک ساتھی پروفیسر کی زبانی ان کی زندگی کے کچھ اعمال کے بارے میں معلوم ہوا تو ان کی شخصیت کی بڑائی مجھ پر آشکار ہوئ۔ وہ بہت تحمل مزاج تھے۔ کوئی کتنا بھی برا کہتا وہ جواب نہیں دیتے تھے صرف مسکراتے تھے۔ بے شمار ضرورت مند بچیوں کی اپنی اور دوسروں کی اعانت سے گھر آباد کیے۔ بے عیب زات صرف خدا کی ہے۔ ان کا انتقال نماز میں سجدہ کی حالت میں ہوا۔
