one of my fav horses i went to visit her before the start of her 3 year old season with a private tour by Sir Henry Cecil an absolute gent. i backed her as a 2 year old for the guineas at 50/1 but stupidly didnt take 50s about the oaks too. her stable lad Jock showed me around and said they backed her for the oaks and said i must back her as a mile will be a bit short for her. sadly the legend Steve the clock Cauthen was injured in that summer so he couldnt ride her in her latter races.best era for horse racing the 80s with best trainer and jockey combos wit my heros Henry and Steve
She was a great mare alright to win those races as a 2yo an then in the 1000 guineas when the mile was too short win the oaks an second in a leger when just didnt quite get the trip.only a pony like midday but another champion

The second Benediction became a champion broodmare in NZ and Diminuendo was a flop.
