क्या है वीर्य विश्लेषण (Semen Analysis)?
वीर्य विश्लेषण (Semen Analysis), इसे शुक्राणु संख्या भी कहा जाता है जोकि पुरुषों के वीर्य और शुक्राणु की मात्रा और गुणवत्ता को मापता है। वीर्य, पुरुषों के यौन क्रिया करने के दौरान उनके लिंग से निकलने वाला गाढ़ा, सफेद द्रव होता है। जिसे रस्खलन भी कहा जाता है। पुरुषों के वीर्य में शुक्राणु कोशिकाएं होती हैं जो आनुवंशिक होती हैं। जब पुरुष का शुक्राणु कोशिका महिला से अंडे के साथ मिलती है, तो यह एक भ्रूण (एक अजन्मे बच्चे के विकास का पहला चरण) बनाती है।
अगर पुरुष के वीर्य में कम शुक्राणु की संख्या या असामान्य शुक्राणु का आकार या कम संचार होता है तो इससे महिलाओं के गर्भधारण में कठिनाई होती है। वीर्य विश्लेषण के जरिए पुरुषों में बांझपन होने के कारणों का पता लगाया जा सकता है।
क्यों किया जाता है वीर्य विश्लेषण (Semen Analysis)?
अगर किसी पुरुष में बांझपन की समस्या होती है तो वीर्य विश्लेषण की मदद से ऐसा होने के कारण का पता लगाया जाता है। साथ ही अगर किसी पुरुष ने नसंबदी कराई है तो वह कितना सफल रहा है इसका पता लगाने के लिए भी यह टेस्ट किया जाता है। पुरुष नसबंदी सर्जिकल प्रक्रिया होती है जो सेक्स के दौरान स्पर्म रिलीज को गर्भधारण करने से रोकता है।
ऐसे दंपत्ति जो पिछले 12 महीने से गर्भधारण करने में असफल हो रहें हैं, तो उनके पुरुष साथी को वीर्य विश्लेषण की आवश्यकता हो सकती है। इसके अलावा हाल ही में नसबंदी कराने वाले पुरुषों को भी इस टेस्ट की आवश्यकता होती है, ताकि वो यह जान सके कि उनके नसबंदी की प्रक्रिया कितनी सफल हुई है।
