Throughout millions of reincarnations Samsara cycles, I could only awakened to my consciousness that we had made vows b4. Regardless of which channels of religious teachings in Buddhism. It was karmas driven! While I had been through your venerable teachings and my beloved Master Chin Kung teachings, I now had made ultimate vows never to come back here in any forms but rather formless spiritual body! I had also vowed my last to be rebirth in Amitabha Pureland of Ultimate Bliss with my beloved spouse leading the way! To learns the best of the best in wisdoms, compassions and infinite Bodhicitta to be achieved. I had stopped my egoism having to so so long being on this Samsara cycles! Enough for me here! No more messing around and total detachment here! Namo Buddhaya Namo Dharmaya Namo Amitabhaya Namo Amithofo 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful explanation of Mahayana Buddhism (vs Therevada) . Both are great in their own right. I resonate more with Mahayana and the Boddichitta. And also thank you for spreading the Dharma, and, best wishes on your own nun journey ... no doubt you will accomplish your goal someday with your patience, and good attitude and wonderful smiles! - reminds me of the lesson of the Buddha asking his disciples to describe the flower, which only Kasyap was able to "describe" .. in simply a smile. Namo Buddhaya, namo Amitabhaya 🙏
Thank you for the great video. Great addition to this video might be a video about the 8 Mahayana precepts. For those who would like to deepen their practice or to try whether ascetic life of a monk is for them or not, this might be a good idea.
Well done, Sir! We hope you continue to do so and that you encounter only favourable conditions to keep up your virtuous activities. Namo Amitābha Buddha 🙏
Good video, thank you teacher. I have a job six days a week and long hours. I was trying to go to a temple and the monk kept overloading me with work , I was so so tired that I stopped going , but I practice on my own , I am 63 yrs old and need rest time to time . I go to the temple less frequently and the monk now has stopped soliciting my labor. Your video. has been very helpful
Please excuse me , I would like to add my opinion on one point. You said in Theravadha traditions, monks only focus on their own practice, yes they do focus on their own practice first because if you don't practice first and learn Dhamma ( and attained Arahathship, Nibbana) properly you can't teach Dhamma to others, if you do you may mislead others, there are so many of them today's world , so it is important you learn first , then teach Dhamma to others. This is the reason , they first live in solitude , practice diligently and learn Dhamma. After that they teach Dhamma to others, there are great teachers like that in Thailand even today ( many in the past). I just want to let you know my opinion. With Metta ( compassion). Thank you
Greetings. Thank you for your aspiration to be a Bodhisattva. It is very noble and worthy of adulation. In order to start walking the Bodhisattva path, one must generate supreme bodhicitta, make extensive vows and practice the Dharma accordingly. These are some of the most basic requirements. That being said, the best way for one to be a Bodhisattva for most of us is to deepen our personal practice of the Pure Land Dharma door and be reborn in Sukhavati at the end of this life. Once we are reborn there, we will learn from Amitabha Buddha, have the other Bodhisattvas as our friends and realize supreme Bodhi. Until we are reborn in Sukhavati and achieve supreme Bodhi, we can do our best to develop and increase Bodhicitta by spreading the Pure Land Dharma door to as many people as possible, while we are alive here. To sum it up - 1) Practice the Pure Land Dharma door as much as possible every single day and become better gradually 2) Spread the Pure Land Dharma door as much as possible to benefit sentient beings. This is the best way to go about it for most of us who aspire to be Bodhisattvas. May this be of benefit. Amituofo 🙏

I am not a monk yet.
But I choose to live as close as I can to the monk's lifestyle as a Buddhist practitioner, for the sake of sharing the Dharma 🙏🙏🙏

Hello Jiawen, I hope you are doing well. I am wondering how can I become a Bodhisattva and how can I help other sentient beings if/when I become one?
