RKM 101 the red wire is the mains 12 volt + the black is the negative- and the yellow wire is power that is live all the time so it doesn’t forget what channel you have the radio tuned in thats the plug on the bottom of the unit the 8 wires on the top unit go to each of your speakers if you only have 2 speakers you only need to wire 4 of the wires usually it’s the 4 wires in the centre of the block
These cheap units won’t last forever, but they are great for people who just want a basic features and I think their brilliant snd your review was really good :)

Thank you for this video. I am about to install one of these radios. And now I know how to connect the Camera. Very cool. I will save the URL to this video, so I can go back and watch how to get the Camera connected once I am ready to install. I had one working in my car for a couple years now it is locked on one FM radio station. I cannot change anything else. I will get a battery for my remote and see if that will work.This is why I am getting another one of these radios. They do not last very long. But I have a woofer in my car, and when I first installed my radio, it worked great with my AMP.. And sounds really good. Even thought it is very cheap to purchase. It still works very good when connected to a amp and woofer!

bought mine around the same time you did an still works great besides my backup camera got some dust in the lense I wired it to a switch so I can view who is behind me while driving lol my knob is kinda loose but doesn't effect function of the unit at all and if you wanna bypass the bluetooth you can by a hidden module you can connect your phone direct an that transmits to the radio station I know its a lot but once done it's an amazing product for $37.00 with shipping

i used to have one of those, it was a great product those people who said that they have bugs its because before youre going to turn off the car, you have to turn off the car stereo first, this device never fail me, the only thing that i could never repair was the hour in the radio, in fact this radio has more option just have to scroll in the menú and has more. for 50 dollars was pretty good

For thoose who are willing to buy One of thoose the screen is made out of plastic (like LDC old TVs) and its pretty fragile overall its good u can screenmirror ir phone in that and play audio from ur phone
I bought one. Worked for a week. Then started overheating, freezing and sometime would even switch through different stations automatically. I got a basic bluetooth stereo on amazon for $25 and it has yet to fail me.

Everyone just be where the backup camera wiring the center electrode is made of plastic and it breaks after a short time so you have to either replace the end of the wire or run a whole new wire
My car has 7 speakers, 6 basic ones and a stock oem subwoofer in the back right. Can this unit connect to all of them? The wiring diagram on amazon shows it only connecting to 4 speakers (front and back left and right). Thanks
What vehicle you have ?
This is a nice add on for an old car restoration. Prices have dropped dramatically for this similar double din units. Connecting these to newer cars might be a challenge as you will need a new dash bezel, wire converters and it may render some of your cars OEM features as non functional like steering wheel audio controls and etc.

I have 7023B and no file explorer in mine. All I need is a folder view. In this model I can see explorer, can you see folder view when you have an SD or a USB stick drive?

good job at review, but sadly the radio is junk mines would not play any sounds via mp4 and mp3, only things is sounds and works is the FM radio, guess that's my bugs in my unit.

Try connecting every wire to each other some people said connect the blue with the recipe beside the yellow with the blue or the yellow with the red etc etc I have a blue wire coming out the left side of the car aftermarket and I also have a black and red wire that says Auto pipe coming out the right side of the car aftermarket. I have the 7080B version off of ebay for $50 shipped. Works great at first, sounds awesome, but likes to reboot randomly after a while of using it. Then after reboot the bluetooth audio starts skipping randomly. Probably because it gets hot easily and could use a small fan, has some bugs in the software. Could really use a patch but can't find any. :-/
ok I tested a little more and it seems to only want to reboot randomly while playing bluetooth mode. playing from sd/tf slot seems to work fine, but it still gets very toasty.
Also the playlist function of the file explorer likes to tack on ALL the playable files it has found after the file you played, not just the files in the folder you selected. so if you have some questionable/unrelated videos you didn't intend on playing, you're better off not having them on the card altogether.
Thrashaero mines does same thing so annoying good radio other than this for the price
Yeah, for the price it's ok. I went from just a pos single computer speaker with no real bass to this so it's quite an upgrade. Not saying much but i got money's worth i'd say for the most part. It just needs new software, because that's it's achilles heel, so many annoying little bugs.
Not just bugs but really ugly ui, like you adjust the volume and it's a big window that sits on the screen for another 10 seconds, as well as after hitting play after having paused, the play bar obscures half the screen and hangs around for a while.
The usb to android feature doesn't seem finished. i have usb debugging on, i get some kind of control panel in the bottom left, but it's just a black screen and nothing happens besides the escape arrow to return to the menu.
The only other major problem is the cpu or maybe the OS is just slow and can't keep 1080p videos synced with the audio worth a shit. Yeah you'll get the resolution but it's not as fluid and of course slowed down the more you play. But you don't really need 1080p on such a small screen anyway so just go with 720 or even less and you'll be fine i think. But stuff like gifs are a slideshow unfortunately.
The bluetooth I think is only designed for short phone calls and not streaming songs with some buffer filling bitrate. It works ok in phonecalls so far as i have seen. It is nice to bluetooth with the phone for music and easier to select files, but perhaps instead of dealing with it's rage inducing reboots and skipping, could make it easier by using the included remote instead of the not so sensitive touch screen.
Not sure if typo on price or if Wallyworld bought a container ship full of those rascals but $8.99 no tax free shipping eta the 26th. I ordered two to verify advertised price and can confirm that’s what I was charged per unit if anyone else wants to grab one as backup or maybe terrific gift for under $10. Cheers!

UPDATE:
You must buy a GPS micro SD card for the GPS to work. Once installed, the GPS antenna will allow for the directions to display on the screen. I bought the card from EBay for $9.99. It now works perfectly!

It does work relly well with your cell phone I use it like that all the time u do jave to go to the debug mode and if u turn your cell side ways u get full screen. I have used maps and works great

You wire it wrong make sure the control it's connected to a constant energy power
Be sure to see the wiring diagram for your specific car, each car model and year is different. Make sure you follow the wiring closely, if you wire something wrong, the radio won't work perfectly or it could cause damage to the radio and/or car.

he forgot to mention to hook up the pink wire on the wiring harness to the red wire built into the video rca for the rear camera it tell the unit to switch into rerar camera mode
Bought this from ebay. Your video helped alot on how to navigate this stereo-- thank you. However, I am able to hear the sound only in one speakers. The old stereo we had had no problem hearing from all speakers. By chance, do you have a solution to this? I brought it back to the installer and he switched the module and all sounds came through all the speakers for a minute. It goes in and out. Could this be a software issue? Please help.

Bought one and it worked 1 day, they sent me another one witch is still working (over a year) but only radio and sd card or USB, bluetooth does not work. Very slow and turns off sometimes by himself. Cheap but not worth of money or nerves. My opinion. Mine is older model but I think its the same inside, maybe I didnt have luck.

I’m pretty sure these things work with any car as long as you connect the wires correctly, but may not fit in terms of size for any car so you would need to check that and see if you need a frame or anything extra. Wire harness for your specific car is typically needed as well.

I bought one and it arrived dead, had to open it up and reset the ribbon cable interrnally. Now it seems to work partially but still unable to get it to mirror my Iphone which was an advertized feature for the model I bought. I can not find an address to download new software update. Sigh.
