I like how lightly you tread around the age of the audience. Smooth. This concert was an unexpectedly hype time. His background singers, the Parisian musicians, Christopher’s distinctive voice…a real treat. Thanks, Sam!
I remember buying that first album of his, so many radio hits back then. Never Be the Same and Ride Like the Wind are my two favorites. Sailing and Arthur's Theme were probably his two most popular songs. He toured with America at some point, possibly in the late 90s or early 2000s. Awesome review. You can't beat free concert tickets either. Another set list added to the collection. Good one Sam.
I ❤ Christopher Cross! I have the debut record since I was 10 years old in 1980. I would like to see him. I don't know if he will come to Seattle or tour extensively due to health. I think I better sign up on his email list and put this show on my wish list. My favorite song is Sailing. It right up there with Africa as a top favorite 80s song. I appreciate your review. 😊
Good to hear he has recovered from his COVID and that he’s giving a great concert. I would like to go see him. He has to make his way up here to Vancouver though. I’m gonna make a playlist of that setlist. Thanks for the video Sam.
@@samstjohn1994ok now you got me going down the Christopher Cross rabbit hole. I haven’t paid attention to his music since 1985. You know what that means. Quite a few records I haven’t heard. Thanks Sam. Fun when this happens.
Listening to that last song on the album Red Room. Rainy Day In Vancouver. An instrumental that captures what it’s like on a rainy day here. Nice tune. Good album also.

Thanks Rich, I'm glad I got to see him. It's always fun listening to the radio and saying: " I saw him do that live!"

@catherine6653 he tours constantly so he'll likely be in your area! His first album is being reissued later this year if you're interested.

Glad you enjoyed it! Let me know if you can see the titles clearly. The one song, "You," is unreleased.
