I think, in body shape, Obsidian Fury is more reminiscent of Gypsy Danger that it's official predecessor.

It has a Kaiju brain that they got and put in to a jaeger.. thinking that they can control it (maybe by doing the 2 way thing where they need to connect to able to move in the same way but it's with a kaiju brain inside the jaeger and someone is controlling it somewhere) they sent it out their but went rogue because they thought it was a good idea to put a working kaiju brain that can also be controlled by the ones who make the Kaijus in a jaeger (it's just theory)
Can't wait! I really like all the new concepts that are being brought into this movie.

I don't think the villain of the movie should be Skynet, but with the glowing blue parts on the other rogue Jaegers, the obvious answer is that some genius figures they could use harvested Kaiju brain and nerve tissue to create unmanned Jaegers that are possibly remote piloted or even completely automated, but has basically forgotten that the Kaiju were more or less remote controlled and so the aliens have just hyjacked these unmanned Jaegers.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie.
Since they hinted at a crossover with the monster verse I think this AI controlled Jager is right on time. The Easter egg between the two could be the first perfected AI and it's Jet Jaguar 👍.

You can see the two first Jeagers have that same blue light like the Kaijuus, so you can suspect some thing related to a Kaijuu was use as Bases for the construction. Maybe the Kaijuus used are like a parasite and is using the Jeagers as a shell, like a fungus use a ant.

Sounds like they took a playbook from Avengers Age of Ultron and Civil War. Obsidian is Ultron and he might be controlling other smaller Jargaers.
dhan219 might be, but we've seen humans controlling the smaller jaegers in some parts of the trailer.
I think they are using the inspiration from evangelion (explosive savior on cross, humanity cleansing using giant monsters) , this time is the war against mass produced evas whom are controlled using AI instead of human pilot.

Obsidian Fury's design was based on many Jaegers. It has chest beam and dual plasma infused chainsaw blades similar to Gipsy Danger's dual Chain Swords, I can rotate it's body just like Crimson Typhoon.
We can all agree that every Jaeger have badass names.

Also, I thought of an energy chainsaw being a thing for combat several months ago. I think my mind was briefly linked with another one, and that one happened to be the jaeger designer for the movie.

So we see like two huge things I forgot what they are called so we see them attacking the humans base and they have missals shooting at them and we see that three people are still in it
I'm guessing the AI for obsidian Fury went all Skynet and the other Yeagers that we saw may have been built using the technology that was used to create the kaijus which may have allowed the colonists aliens to control them

What if godzilla is the reason why the jeagars are built, he would have been the first kaiju to be tested on with them, could be a way to reintroduce mecha g as well

In the begining of the trailer, the jaeger base is attacked. that foot was parbably obsidian fury helping the other blue bad jaegers
Fury is most likely controlled by an AI or a sensor which saw a large moving mass with a heat signature and attacked it.
I think it'd be cool because the random people were salvaging jaeger parts, I think it'd be cool if we saw a jaeger with a scrapped crimson typhoons head!
the obsidian fury had the same basic type of swords as gipsy danger, not to mention the fighting is similar, could it be the that raleigh had went insane and could possibly be controlling the obsidian fury remotely?

I think obsidian fury is controlled by the brother of Raleigh because at pacific rim 1he got stolen/swallowed by knife head maybe after knifehead died at the battle maybe the leaders of the kaijus bringer knife head down the lair then maybe when they are opening knifehead for repairs they used him as a pilot for obsidian fury
the precursors should start making Jeagers. If they do so good with making kaiju, think of how OP Precursor Jeagers would be like.

I would have preferred if the Overseers had created their own Jaegars.
It was hinted in the first film that the Overseers adapt. When their dinosaurs failed, they waited and sent much more powerful Kaijua. Now, they know pur Jaegars can beat their Kaiju, so it would make more sense for them to evolve their tactics and create their own Jaegars.

I was hoping the next pacific rim will be a world national conflict, so all countries involved have their own Jaeger to fight. But this will do I guess, at least I got to see Jaeger vs Jaeger
I think they are going to fuck up the Jaegers in this movie. The best thing about Pacific rim 1 was how analog and slow they were but still badass. Know they are fast movie and look to good, they look like some kind of anime.

I personally would’ve found it better and more interesting if obsidian fury was piloted by humans who were neurologically controlled by the more advanced kaiju parts. I think it would’ve given more if a sense of how much more dangerous the kaiju have become over the years
Well this is my theory. So if the Obsidian Fury was made of kaiju parts then it would have been hi jacked by the aliens since the Jaeger doesn't need humans to control it ill guess its a AI and the AI was hi jacked by the aliens whom control the Kaiju's Mind = Blown .

I think it has something to do with connecting a human brain with a kaiju brain, like in the first movie.
This movie does remind me alot of Evangelion. Hell even the white jaegers look like the mass production Eva series from End of Evangelion.
