- Broadway.com celebrates the release of the original cast recording of the groundbreaking 2006 Broadway musical “Spring Awakening” with the cast at a special CD signing and performance at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square. Paul Wontorek interviews composer Duncan Sheik, librettist/lyricist Steven Sater and stars Jonathan Groff (“Melchoir”), Lea Michele (“Wendla”), John Gallagher Jr. (“Moritz”), Skylar Astin (“Georg”), Remy Zaken (“Thea”), Gideon Glick (“Ernst”). Also featured are cast members Gerard Canonico, Lilli Coper, Jennifer Damiano, Brian Charles Johnson, Lauren Pritchard, Krysta Rodriguez and Phoebe Strole. Live performances of “Touch Me” and “Totally Fucked."

One of the best experiences I've ever had in the theatre. Hell, I'm 59 and I LOVE this show. Us old farts understand it too,
I don't think it's really about being a youth-oriented show as much as a whoever understands these feelings type show. Some people my age-- 18, don't understand this show at all, even the theatre geeks.
