It was so fun talking with you about your Scrapbooking Goals. Do you have Scrapbooking Goals for 2025? I would love to read them. Thanks for watching and once again, Happy New Year!
When I retired in March 2023, I wanted to catch up on my scrapbooking. Fast forward to 2024, I had several years caught up and started to do "Page a Day" and had 366 pages completed by August when I stopped tracking but then decided to give my three granddaughters albums spanning birth to current. Finished week before Christmas by skipping some of my pages in annual albums for now back to catch up. I have 6 vacations to scrap but mostly done back to 2008. Week between Christmas and New Year's is always making birthday cards for the upcoming year (I have 10 left to do out of 18. Big remodeling project starting next week - good thing I bought the digital Riveting collection!
I also need to use up stash! Can you talk more about how you organize and store the “bits and pieces” or random embellishments to be able to use them on layouts, especially when using a different collection?
The A Page a Day tracker really motivated me last year. I almost made it! December gets too busy. I am going to do it again. I also like using the CM virtual crop sketch tracker. My goal was to try every sketch. I got a lot of them done. I left both of the trackers with my tools as a visual reminder. By doing this I got more pages done than I had in years!
Great idea to put the tracker with your tools, kept it visible to you. I love the CM sketches from the Virtual crop so easy to understand. I have a video coming out tomorrow and I will be using one of them. :)
Love your idea of setting goals, with one of them getting back into reading. I plan to scrapbook more and read less ( currently 300+ books/year). Specific goals are to finish older son’s Karate album and start younger son’s baby album. As they are 49 and 29 I’m just a bit behind! So glad you are continuing your keeping it simple series.
Wow! 300+ books a year! How do you do that? I have to say, Karate pages have been some of my hardest pages to do and make them look different. LOL, we are all behind in some way! :)
Love this page, and what a great field trip. Congratulations on your third year as a "You Tuber"...like others here, l am so glad l found you. Makes me happy to see someone else who scraps in a way that is so similar... taking from the little collections of bits and pieces that didn't quite make it onto another page, having trays of small similar embellishments you choose from when you need something special-- like the bits of greenery you chose from, today. It was wonderful to hear about your goals for 2025, so many fun and exciting things for planned video series' and for your own albums. ❤ l was so impressed by your daughter's visits to 43 National Parks and look forward to seeing the pages you will do! I follow a YT channel called Tiny Cabin Life, and the fellow who runs it is Jack Steward, who used to be co-host of a US TV show called 'Rock the Park'. I watched a few of those episodes on YT and can see how it would make watchers want to visit US NPs. I camped all over eastern Canada with my parents/family as a kid, and appreciate that sort of content even now. I can't wait to see the beautiful pages you will be creating for your daughter's albums! My plans for 2025 include finishing my 3rd child's 1st year baby album. I am at month 7, so almost there! The other 3 kids'1st year albums are all done, thankfully! Also need to do grad pages for kiddos 3&4. Lots more, but that's enough for my novella, here. Keep up the great work, Diane. Love your channel! ~Ali (Nova Scotia, Canada) ❤
Thank you so much Ali! We took our daughter to Yosemite in 2006 and she was hooked ever since! I'm excited to take the time and really look at her pictures and enjoy the parks through her eyes. I've only been to a handful of the parks, she's done most with her sister, other friends, and even by herself. She sends me tons of photos when she's traveling, I wanted to make this album a surprise, but I couldn't, she has a ton more photos. It sounds like you are almost done with the baby album, that's awesome! Thanks for all you kind words, they mean a lot to me!
Congratulations on your channel! I enjoy watching and you have great ideas. My goals for the year are to finish my son's high school album (he graduates in June) and work on two heritage albums.
Congrats on your 3 year anniversary. I enjoy watching your videos and always look forward to learning new technics from them. Thanks Diane and Happy New Year!😊
I am so close to finishing my 2022 album! Id like to wrap that up! I also want to start an album project this year but I’m not sure exactly what to do.
My goals go with each album. I just finished volume 2 for my great granddaughter. I am starting on finishing my grandson's teen album (he just turned 23). I have already gathered the collections I will be using and look forward to more of your keeping it simple series for layouts. I usually work on 3 or more albums at a time, to not get bored with just one. lol I am prepping for a crop later this month to do 3 7x7s and finish grandson #1s cub scout album. It is already in the power layout box. I do have trouble with getting my photos from the phone to be printed.
Way to go Sue, sounds like you have quite the scrapbooking schedule! Love how you move between the albums to not get bore, it sounds like you have a great system in place. Printing photos is the part I like the least and I always tend to put it off. Good luck with all your projects this year.
My goal needs to be to purge as well. Like you I have scrapbooking supplies from 20 and 30 years ago. I have kept them thinking I would use them eventually but if I haven’t used them in 30years then I probably wont be in the next several years.
My goal (s) for 2025 is to use more mat cards and embellishments on my pages. And as always to organize my scrapbook room. I seem to be always having to do that.
I hear ya! I think my craft room is always a work in progress. Great goal to have specific items to focus on. I've that before, it is very helpful when you have a lot of one category, like mat cards.

Yes, I have set scrapbooking goals since 2002 when my then CM consultant encouraged all of her customers to do so! It helps so much!!
And congrats on 3 years here on UA-cam! You do an amazing job! Thank you for sharing all of your work, inspiration, ideas and talents.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words!
Thank you for the trackers!! Congrats on your 3 year anniversary!
You're very welcome! It's hard to believe it's been 3 years already!
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary of your channel. I like your style of scrapbooking and teaching. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
One of my goals is to do our trip to Bryce Canyon and Zion. I’m excited that you are going to do National Parks layouts.
Oh yay! I'm gathering up supplies and kind of making a kit, also hoping CM puts out another outdoor collection soon. :)
I also need to use up stash! Can you talk more about how you organize and store the “bits and pieces” or random embellishments to be able to use them on layouts, especially when using a different collection?
Stay tuned... I have a video coming up soon on the very subject!

Aw thanks Jodi, I'm glad too!

I plan to get restarted and refocused this year. I really enjoy your videos.
That's great! I hope you enjoy your journey back to scrapbooking!
Congratulations on your channel! I enjoy watching and you have great ideas.
My goals for the year are to finish my son's high school album (he graduates in June) and work on two heritage albums.
Finishing his album as he graduates! That's an awesome goal for this year! Keep me posted on how it's going.
Congrats on your 3 year anniversary. I enjoy watching your videos and always look forward to learning new technics from them. Thanks Diane and Happy New Year!😊
Thanks so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!
This is a cute layout! Looking forward to your National Park layouts too.
Thank you, I'm looking forward to sharing those as well!
Happy 3rd Anniversary!
Thank you Tina!
Nice

I love finishing up albums, such a great feeling! What types of projects are you considering?
@ I’m thinking of starting my daughter’s baby book but I’m not sure the format yet. I’d like to gift them a baby book for Christmas in 2025!

So true Michelle. Plus, somethings I just don't like and won't use, but I keep it with the collection, or I storage it away.

I do have the catalog . Could you tell me the page number you used for this layout please?
This project recipe was on page 46 of the book.
Do you have a snowman punch to sell me?
I did have a few on my website, but I believe they are all sold now. Sorry :(
@ thank you for checking☺️
