Can you apply if you just have personal Instagram accounts and FB? Or do you have to already have videos promoting products? I have many orders on Amazon 😅😅 but no videos yet. Should I just apply?
Great video, so many opportunities not only in the program but also leveraging the program. I did over 6 figures in my first 12 months focusing on the program and working with sellers. 29 months in and I now have over 3,500 pieces of content with 3,400ish being paid collabs. Not to mention the resale ops. So many ways to make money keep grinding!
Thanks Sean, I started & have no clue what I'm doing. I just want to thank you for sharing this information about Kathleen's course and hearing her explain how the Amazon Associates program works in general. I just finished watching this and I'm seriously considering joining her program. The thing is I only have 45 minutes to make a choice to get the best price! lol..God bless!❤🙏
So it sounds like it’s a video version of a written review for products you bought from Amazon? I want to do a storefront anyway, so the product reviews I do for my UA-cam set up has a direct link to it. Teachers are my niche, and we don’t have time to go hunt for stuff, for sure. Doing this before Christmas shopping starts sounds like the best plan!
@@kathleenkobel Good to know! thank you. I'll definitely have to come back to this video when I can take notes. It won't happen before Thursday, but I'm going to put a reminder in my phone.
Thank you for making this video. I’ve been accepted into the program for a while now, but my videos are not getting approved. I learned some things on this video that I’m going to apply today. I’ll be back to let you know how things go! 🤞🏽
Im sure it's great. I just wanna balance this a little and offer a different point of view here. If you dont have a huge follower base that you can send to the store front it may not be worth it. My thought was that I was going to appear next to the product and that one could make money for this. I checked out all the reviews on about 8 products and blew everybody away in terms of video and content quality on those products. I only had these videos out for a week, but no results. Yes, it may be early, but I since talked to Amazon, and according to how I understand what they say the followers will be the main engine in the income. The appearing next to products is probably not something you should rely on. On other problem with this is that there is no way to see how many views you have. Even though views do not give income by itself, it would be great to see if you have any views at all. If you want to know if you are appearing next to products you have to go to the product manually and check.
Hi there and thanks for watching! You are able to see how many views your videos get and you can absolutely focus on earnings the onsite commissions with this program as many people do (including myself). I don't have a huge following either, but once you understand how the program works, like creating videos, tagging products properly, utilizing linking the right way, then it can be a very profitable venture.
I would think you just have 2 versions of your video. 1 for your Amazon Storefront that has all the extra stuff removed (like, subscribe, extra fluff) and 1 that includes all of the clips where you are trying to build community.
As long it follows all of Amazon’s rules - no mention of pricing, no CTA, no asking for likes, subscribes, etc. But Amazon encourages you to upload your content from social and doesn’t mind as long as the content is originally yours.
You’ll want to upload the videos to your storefront. Steer clear of leaving those customer reviews with the star ratings if you’re going to participate in the influencer program, though. It’s one or the other with Amazon.
I'm still curious why your other Influencer interview video is not searchable/or removed. She also went into details about the program, but provided her links. Was there a problem with her?
Big no no, you’re right on about that. However, you don’t HAVE to the buy the item from Amazon. Whether you bought it at Walmart or found it at a garage sale, the important thing is that the product is exactly what’s for sale on Amazon.
Be strategic about your product selection and you'll earn back what you invested, plus more. When I'm buying specifically to create a shoppable video, I use chrome extensions that help me filter and find the best choice. After I shoot the vid, I'll list the product on FB marketplace for half price and it's gone within 48 hours. Then, rinse and repeat. I usually earn back enough within two weeks to cover my expense.
???? Question: What size social media following did Colleen have when she started that first month? When she references 50 videos, did that mean on a UA-cam channel that she applied with, or did she mean she uploaded 50 Amazon videos the first month or so? Curious what point her social media was at to get started on Amazon.
Good question… It’s possible to earn good money just because of the videos you have on Amazon. However, it’s always smart to not have all of your eggs in one basket. So diversifying your platforms and ultimately building your personal brand in strategic ways and in strategic places - Would be a more holistic online business strategy.
the truth about Amazon influencer program is it takes a thousand or more videos to make $1k/month. Even if you have that many videos, every day that goes by each video will earn less. That's why this lady is pushing her course so aggressively. More money selling the course.
@@sidehustlespyNot true. I'm well over $1K and don't even have a thousand videos posted. I did $700 my first month with less than 100 vids. It's more about product selection than the number of videos.
If you’d like to earn on-site commissions from Amazon then yes, you would have to upload 3 videos to be approved for that part of the program. It’s a secondary approval process past getting approved for the AIP (which gives you access to a storefront). Hope that helps!
@@kathleenkobel Hello, great information... I'm also an influencer and have a storefront. Even though I live in the USA, my main followers are from the Hispanic market. Can I upload videos for on-site commissions in English and Spanish? What do you think you could recommend to me? Thank You!
When you open your Tik Tok account and Amazon Influencer Account, do you pick a different name instead of using your personal details? Do both accounts have to have the same name too? Thanks
I tried applying with my Instagram account but is says I need a business or creator account. So does that mean I need to do that first, add content to the business Instagram and then apply again?
You need to have public access account and to upload few contents but you don't need to have followers bcz I have 50 followers and got accepted today I just need to upload my videos.

As an educator who teaches entirely from home, because I teach at a historic TCU that is directly under the Dept of the Interior so every class has to be 2 hours on Zoom because eyes on a student is the only attendance recognized in federal Indian Education law, I have a unique perspective on what works for a home educator workstation. I appreciate this video because most of my electronics come from Amazon, and I plan to do product reviews on what I use. I’ve been teaching college courses this way for 4 years now, and I’ve got a very good perspective on what works and what doesn’t. It’s going to boost my credibility for what I’m talking about, and since you link to one of your social media accounts for this program featured in this video, you can send Amazon people buying your connected reviewed items to your UA-cam to see how it helps you do what you do. I don’t see a problem with this. It looks more like a free landing page loop, in the way that it works.
Appreciate the comment. Maybe you didn’t watch this video and/or part one? I share that video creators making content for UA-cam should considering jumping on this as well. And the ultimate goal is to create synergistic momentum from Amazon income, UA-cam revenue, brand deals, etc. And intelligently repurpose your video content. Kathleen talks about that in part one. She is also doing it with her two youtube channels. The intuitive move is to align all of your business and branding strategy together. 👊🏻💯
For people who are already doing product reviews on UA-cam, it makes so much sense to also upload those videos to Amazon and make additional money on the same content.
@@ThinkMediaPodcastI am happy to see your views dunking.. UA-cam is been very diluted and all-round everyone is using the same recipe.. nothing innovative about harvesting Dopamine Addiction..
I had applied to Amazon the way it was told in the last video and I got rejected saying I don't meet their base criteria.. I'm so looking for avenues to earn for complete financial independence and security.. I didn't apply for associate cause I wasn't really sure what it was..
Associates is a great way to start earning offsite on Amazon. If you promote affiliate links to your following then you can still earn that way and continue to grow your following to reapply to the AIP.

can you post about food?
Sure can! The commission usually isn’t huge but I earn on most of my videos of food.
Are these three videos just for Amazon to see? How long should that video be ?
These videos are for Amazon to review and approve but then for all to see. They are testing to make sure you are making good, compliant content.
