About Adalia Wen
Adalia Wen, from Weston, MA, has been studying the piano since she was four. She is currently a junior at the Rivers School and studies with Alexander Korsantia.
Besides solo piano, she also takes part in various chamber music ensembles at the Rivers School Conservatory’s ChamberMusicLab program, at the New England Conservatory, at her high school’s conservatory program, and as independent projects.
Adalia also studies the guzheng (the Chinese zither) and composition. On the side, she enjoys arranging and composing pieces for herself and her friends to perform at school and at local contemporary music festivals.
Her notable first prizes include the 2022 Rivers School Conservatory Concerto Competition, the 2022 Fidelity Investments Young Artists Competition, the 2022 Steinway Society Piano Competition, Division II, and the 2023 Wellesley Symphony Michael H. Welles Young Soloist Competition.
Outside of music, Adalia also enjoys reading, writing poetry, snowboarding, shooting and the language of Latin.
Very good performance! Very comparable to Alexandra Dovgan' (but she is much younger). Just slightly different pedal work would be good (hard to describe in text!). Thank you for all the study to develop this repertoire, it is wonderful seeing many new young musicians! Greetings from Canada.
