- It was a Hogwarts reunion for the stars of the Harry Potter film series at the preview for Universal Orlando's new Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley park. We were on the red carpet with Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Felton, Evanna Lynch, Matthew Lewis, James and Oliver Phelps, Domhnall Gleeson, Warwick Davis, and Bonnie Wright, where they gave us their thoughts on the controversial comments author J.K. Rowling recently made that Hermione should have ended up with Harry instead of Ron. They also dished out their own ideas for an alternate ending.

From my understanding of the Harry Potter fandom, most people are still pretty nice and someone who ships a couple could tolerate others shipping their bias with someone else even if they can't necessary support it. Besides, the hermioneXdraco ship has been around for pretty long and is one of the biggest fandom so it's not like it's something outrageous.

That's why we have fan fic stories. So many alternate endings and twists. Fun to read them.
I know where you're coming from, but Neville wouldn't have stood a chance in a one on one battle with Bellatrix. In the book, Luna, Ginny, and Hermione were triple teaming her and Bellatrix was still too much for them. Molly killed her because Bellatrix made the HUGE mistake of underestimating Molly and then making fun of Fred's death. Molly then went into full Angry Momma Bear mode and obliterated Bellatrix.

Originally, I did think it should be Hermoine/Harry, but I saw benefits of Harry/Ginny. Harry didn't grow up with a loving family, and the Weasleys treated him like he was part of their family throughout the series. So by marrying Ginny, Harry officially becomes part of this family that he loves so much. This makes Ron his brother and Ron marrying Hermione makes Hermione Harry's sister. I think that's a nice touch, because those two have always been Harry's closest friends, and now they're even closer than ever.
So I can't understand why Rowling was unhappy with the decision to pair Harry with Ginny instead of Hermione. And if she was unhappy with it, why give into the pressure of the fandom?
Exactly! I've always shipped Harry Ginny though. Personally I think Hermione and Harry love each other in more of a sibling way like Ron and Ginny.
