Shani Mootoo, Library and Archives Canada Scholar Awards 2024 Recipient

Her work as a writer, visual artist and video maker, and her exploration of gender, sexuality and race, as well as themes of family, migration and diaspora, represent a significant contribution to our country’s culture and literary heritage.
