Cricket, often hailed as a religion in India, enjoys unrivaled popularity among sports enthusiasts. But what does this mean for other sports? Cricket's dominance is undeniable. From packed stadiums to record-breaking television ratings, the sport captures the nation's attention like no other. The glitz and glamour surrounding cricket attract massive corporate sponsorships, endorsement deals, and media attention, leaving other sports struggling to compete for resources and exposure. While cricket thrives, other sports often find themselves in the shadows. Limited funding, lack of infrastructure, politics and corruption, and media coverage hinder their growth and development. So is cricket killing the scope of other sports? I tried to answer this question in this video.

True. Hating a sport is meaningless. Every sport has its own importance and you can not disregard any sport. I just hope other sports are also able to grow in India, opening up new career paths for millions of people
Great points bro especially the politicians and corruption one. It is so true. One of my friends who plays volleyball was asked to pay 1 lakh rupees by the selector if we wanted to be in the state team. There must be changes in ground level to improve the condition. Great video❤️🙌

You missed one point that is the age scam. Many players fake their age to play U-19 or U-23 ruining the competition.

Argentina doesn't blame football, Spain doesn't blame football, Americans doesn't blame NFL , Canada doesn't blame ice hockey, whole Europe doesn't blame football, meanwhile indians blame cricket BECAUSE other sports couldn't do well , once cricket struggle too they did not even have fund to do home matches , it's their own dedication and work that they put themselves

Cricket gives success. We won 🙌 T20 World Cup again . Also Indian genetics is not suitable for athletics , football etc where physical prowess matters . Cricket is a game of skill and stamina . So is chess , hockey , badminton , tennis etc where we do better .
Yup success plays a huge role in the popularity of a sport. The second part Is also true Indians generally excel in sports which require more skill.

Cricket is more skill based game than raw power or genes [like athletics] I am also a cricketer so I obviously know that it requires a lot of skill to become a cricketer.
