Another pro tip I’ve heard from UOAP’s: Interact and keep eye contact with scare actors! They usually go for those who aren’t looking/paying attention.
Thank you!! I’ll be going to hhh for my first time this year with my boyfriend and his family. I am very nervous as I am not crazy about horror stuff but I willing to go. Thanks for the tips!
Absolutely some great tips, usually go with express and a discussion with my wife, who tells me what we are doing. Stay and Scream is great, usually get 2 or 3 houses done without needing to use the express.
Ladies and gentlemen take pen and paper the man knows what he's doing I've been following for years no better for universal studios. Let's get this party started Rick Jack is back
If you are not local, and can't go multiple times, I highly recommend the RIP Tours. Especially if you already plan on getting express passes. For a bit more you go to the head of the lines, VIP seating for the shows, rest areas with food and drink only open to RIP tour guest. You get to cut thru many backlots that guests usually don't see, your tour guide will give you the back story to each house. Its all pretty darn cool.
The Pugh two and BrianfromOrlando both have tips & Tricks videos for what to bring with you, like water, sunglasses, things you don't think of...I'm sure Rix and Nikki will be putting a video out soon too about what to bring and not to bring to HHN. But in the meantime, we all can help each other have the best times with all the tips we find!
When do they start decorating for HHN? We are looking to come in early September, the week of Labor Day, but will be visiting the park with our 4yr old. Will there be a lot of stuff out during the day that won't be appropriate for him to see or that might scare him?
QUESTION: 1st Timer, watched a TON of Videos... The question 🤔 ☆We got RIP (We were going to get private, but too expensive), we only have 2 nights in Orlando. ☆We were only going for the RIP Tour (on a Thursday) and staying the entire time. ---My Husband asked if we should get ANOTHER pass for the other day (Friday), incase we miss anything. My look on it is, RIP will get us into all the Houses and Shows and down the streets and because of the RIP tour, we WILL SEE and DO EVERYTHING... Am I accurate?
Thank you guys so much! Can't wait for the next one, I'm the scaredy cat. Sunday I binged watch "Haunting of Hill House" the whole season. That one was bad. It is the chainsaw one that I know will get me.
I binge watched the whole Show too and by the end, I felt like the house was keeping the people and families safe...it was just that one psycho 1920s lady causing havoc. Just ignore the nuts and it's not that bad of a place 🤷🏻♀️ lol
Hi Rick & Nikki My husband and I are going to HHN on a Sunday in October, and I was wondering how to tackle this event, since it’s our first time at HHN, and we’re only going 1 night unfortunately, we want to go through all the houses this day, so my question is: would it be a good idea to start the evening in the back of the park and work out way up? Or the other way around?
Stay and Scream only works if you are a Local with an annual pass. Don't try to do a full theme park day and then do HHN - you'll pass out. Go on a Wednesday or Thursday and get an express pass. You'll be fine
Hey guys, question. When a youtuber puts the start of premier time up, like Rick did here does that mean 5PM EST Since they are in Florida? Thanks guys and thanks Rick and Nikki!
I want to see Hogwarts Express be turned into "HORROR EXPRESS" where it takes you to Islands of adventure and add more Haunted Houses there so it won't be 10 or 11 houses it would be around 20 houses. That would be very cool if they add that.
Hello Rix Flix! With regards to HHN, if you’re in Universal Studios for the day of a HHN on a normal ticket and have got a seperate HHN ticket for that evening, can you stay in the park or do you have to leave and come back in on the new ticket?
Weekends are always busy. However, if you arrive for early enough, the gates open just a bit before 6PM. Get the Universal Orlando app and a map to hit up the haunts that you want to see first to avoid the 3 hour+ wait times later in the night. Also, bring a reusable water bottle and wear comfortable shoes. Bottled water in the park is $5 and you'll also be doing a lot of walking! Have fun!
@@SpaceWizardCosplay thank you! We have annual passes so we’re just gonna stay so we can start ASAP. I found a touring map on the Orlando informer, but is it better to do the houses you really want to see first or follow the plan?
Universal only closes an hour early on the nights that hhn is active (Wednesday- sunday) and doesnt close early at islands of adventure or volcano bay There shouldn't be too much difference in the daytime of the parks except the extra decor out and merch All other rides and attractions should be open and available during your trip
Assuming it's the same as it was in 2019, there is a sectioned off part of the park where you have your ticket scanned and wait for the houses to open. If you aren't in there then they know you either don't have a ticket or need to get checked in.
Rick, did you see that they have raised the prices for Fast Passes all of a sudden?! Went to buy 4 yesterday and saw that the prices jumped $40 a person since the last I had looked!! Have you heard about this?!
Another pro tip I’ve heard from UOAP’s: Interact and keep eye contact with scare actors! They usually go for those who aren’t looking/paying attention.
Looks like I’ll need to pretend to not be aware. I love being targeted lol
Let’s just appreciate how they did 10 tips, In 10 MINUTES!!!
This is my first HHN and I'm so excited!!! I'm watching everyone's tips to make sure I have a great time
IM SO EXCITED FOR U ITS THE BEST THING EVER U WILL LOVE IT
Nice tips, looking forward to a first time visit to HHN this year. Haven’t been to Florida since 2017.
I can't wait. Love you both, thank you for this! Cannot wait for the beginner video!
Great prep video!
Thanks.
Thank you!! I’ll be going to hhh for my first time this year with my boyfriend and his family. I am very nervous as I am not crazy about horror stuff but I willing to go. Thanks for the tips!

Excellent tips! Thank you!
Thank you guys! So excited with new knowledge.

Thank you for this! Going next month with my best friend for our honeymoon!
Great video and tips....can't wait

Can you go in the same house more than once?
Yes
Haven’t heard a lot of these tips from other videos, thank you! Original, well thought out tips!!🥰
The Pugh two and BrianfromOrlando both have tips & Tricks videos for what to bring with you, like water, sunglasses, things you don't think of...I'm sure Rix and Nikki will be putting a video out soon too about what to bring and not to bring to HHN.

Amazing video !

HHN scarezones may be up by then. But Universal makes sure to cover the scarier / more graphic stuff with tarps during the day.

Yes, hopefully you got an early tour time, that’s the best way. But you should be set for a great experience
Awesome pro tips! Can’t wait to see the vlogs.
Love to visit one hhn in my life
Tip #1 - if you can afford it get the RIP tour. You will never want to go without it so be warned
We are getting it! It seems worth it for us because we don’t stay up late and I want to get the houses knocked out so I can get to bed!
Thank you. This will be our first HHN. Don't really know what to expect or how to see everything. Going on Wed 9/29, staying on site ( as usual)
Thank you guys so much! Can't wait for the next one, I'm the scaredy cat. Sunday I binged watch "Haunting of Hill House" the whole season. That one was bad. It is the chainsaw one that I know will get me.

Just ignore the nuts and it's not that bad of a place 🤷🏻♀️ lol
I've got to admit most of these Pro tips are to spend more money
I can't go this year, but when I do go, I shall be wearing my HHNXX tee for sure :)
I was there last week at the park and saw you guys!!. Lol I was to shy to say hi tho 😅🤦♀️.
How about a list of movies, books, shows, etc. that are represented?
Hey Rick! Hype for HHN30!! What houses are you most excited for? I’m hyped for Beetlejuice and Puppet Theatre!!
Maura here, Hey Rick can't wait for HHN, going in October, do exited
Hi Rick & Nikki

Where can you get a map so you can plan your night ?
Great info as always! Can't wait for our 1st trip to HHN in mid-September. Hoe to get to meet y'all.
Trying to decide if I'm going to make the trip from Seattle to Orlando this fall for HHN! Maybe this video could be the deciding factor?!?!?!? (:
I’m hopefully going done from MA. :)
Did I miss the beginners guide to HHN video? This will be my first time in October, I’m excited and scared 😂
Hey guys, question. When a youtuber puts the start of premier time up, like Rick did here does that mean 5PM EST Since they are in Florida? Thanks guys and thanks Rick and Nikki!
I always start mine at 6pm eastern
Hey going in 2 days
Should I get tickets for 1 night or 2z
Will the restaurants be open or do they close once HHN starts? What food is available?
We went ahead an bought express passes. Due to them not having the buy one get one ticket. We have to do what we will do in one night.
I want to see Hogwarts Express be turned into "HORROR EXPRESS" where it takes you to Islands of adventure and add more Haunted Houses there so it won't be 10 or 11 houses it would be around 20 houses. That would be very cool if they add that.
More Scare Zones would be great too
Will I get a express pass if I stay at Hard Rock or Royal Pacific??
Hello Rix Flix! With regards to HHN, if you’re in Universal Studios for the day of a HHN on a normal ticket and have got a seperate HHN ticket for that evening, can you stay in the park or do you have to leave and come back in on the new ticket?
You can stay. They have “stay and scream areas” where you would stay after the park closed but before HHN started
Are Sundays usually busy? Me && my hubby are going for our first time ever sept. 26
Weekends are always busy.
However, if you arrive for early enough, the gates open just a bit before 6PM.

I’m looking for top tips to -AVOID- horror nights, there’s no other way to schedule my vacation but this time. It’s just not my thing.
Universal only closes an hour early on the nights that hhn is active (Wednesday- sunday) and doesnt close early at islands of adventure or volcano bay
There shouldn't be too much difference in the daytime of the parks except the extra decor out and merch
All other rides and attractions should be open and available during your trip
So if you’re in the park the day of HHN and stick around late how do they kick out only the people without HHN tickets?
Assuming it's the same as it was in 2019, there is a sectioned off part of the park where you have your ticket scanned and wait for the houses to open. If you aren't in there then they know you either don't have a ticket or need to get checked in.
How long is the wait times normally on a Wednesday in September??
Changes every year
Is it possible to do all hhn houses in one night I’m going Sunday for that day only 🥺
Yes
Is an express pass for HHN worth it for opening night?
Yes, opening night is always busy.
also note: You are not safe from the scare actors while sitting down and people watching, I learned this the hard way lol
Also even though it's hot, bring a light jacket because it does get chilly at night in october and the houses are really cold for the actors
To be fair, most of these are just theme park pro tips anyway
Rick, did you see that they have raised the prices for Fast Passes all of a sudden?! Went to buy 4 yesterday and saw that the prices jumped $40 a person since the last I had looked!! Have you heard about this?!
They raise the price the closer it gets to the event (:
The closer to the events or the more people that buy them the higher the prices get for express passes
The music at the end is so terrible. You’re better off without it.
