I finally found this video. This was the first card show I went to and my sister was vending in the BTS section so I decided to start collecting again to pass the time. I don't think I found your table since your table was always busy.
Really cool stuff. It seems like the TCG market especially Pokemon is really taking off on the west coast and California looks like the epicenter. Seems like there's shows and events for every day of the week. And the amount of kids getting into the hobby is really something special. There's also been a good amount of shows popping up here on the east coast in the tri state NY NJ area, I've been seeing TCG / Pokemon only shows starting to happen in my area. Definitely something that wasnt happening before.
During the pandemic, Pokemon definitely surged to new limits. There are definitely TCG-centric hotspots such as L.A. which has shows literally every week!
That whole interaction with those kids at 4:35 made me so happy. Reminds me when my parents took me to my first hobby store as a kid
The smiles on the younger generations enjoying the hobby honestly never gets old and makes it all worthwhile.
It's really cool that you give back to the kids who just started, what a nice gesture

VannGeaux The playmat we bought a while ago, but I'm sure you can find it on Amazon or just using a Google seach. We'd recommend using the key terms "buying playmat" and view via images. Hope that helps!

There are an abundance of resources to look for events such as websites that show local shows, such as Sports Card Digest. But most of the events in my area I find out because I'm in a local Facebook group that always updates everyone when the next big show is happening. Getting involved in your local Community scene is probably the best way to see whats happening near you!

Just subscribed I loved this video. I have a huge collection myself and started a channel too but started little too soon and couldn't upload as often as I hoped but I really hope to open a shop or keep selling on eBay and stuff and go to card shows like this and sell singles and trade people. Where I'm at I don't know anyone to trade or sell or buy with in person. Really enjoyed this though keep it up 🔥👍

Thanks for that Alec, it truly means a lot that we can inspire viewers! To be honest, there's nothing really special about us. We're just normal people residing in California who are truly passionate about hopefully making a positive impact in the Pokemon Community. Why Pokemon? I grew up on Pokemon, so it truly brings me back to my childhood and if I can ignite or share that joy and passion I had (and very much still have), then that's all that really matters!

So interesting never seen a vendor just sell $1,$2 cards. Usually it’s slabs. I wonder how the profit margin works out
Great inquiry Averson. To be honest, there's not much profit to be had on $1-$2 cards especially with cost of the vendor table, time to organize, etc. We honestly don't really care for selling at shows, as we generally setup to buy from the Community. We truly believe that providing cheaper cards, especially for the little ones, is what sets us apart from other tables. We would rather have people spend $5 with us getting 3-5 cards they would like to add to their collection, than risking that money on a booster pack. But that's just our mentality, not quite sure if its wrong, or right, but we would like to think it makes a difference to those who stop by our table! 😉

Our general rule of thumb is that we always want to provide the best products/items at the lowest prices! Our goal is to sell through our items and not hold onto them!

how do I find shows near me?
There are a variety of online resources to view upcoming shows depending on what you're looking for. Sports Collectors Digest is an example. We are fortunate enough to be a FB group that has someone who informs everyone of local shows on a periodic basis.
