Exhilarating and inspiring. So much more than a book about the class of '77. More an instruction manual on how to face up to life and get on with it. Grim but also funny and moving.
The first book's the kind you'd read on the pan in an outside bog. I enjoyed it. A lot of it would put me off my tea for a few hours. I'm halfway through the second book. That's a nice fender amp. Can I borrow it?

Excellent book. I knew very little about her or The Slits prior to reading it but found it really interesting and enjoyable.
