Mike, thanks creating this video series. This is very helpful and as a beginner in SEM and AMOS, I learned many interesting things from your videos.
Many thanks for this interesting topics !!!
My pleasure!
Hello, Sir Mike! This video is very helpful, particularly in my case since I'm now working on my study using path modeling. Do you have a tutorial video that demonstrates how to handle categorical exogenous variables in path modeling?
It's highly appreciated! Best regards.
It really help me a lot when I am doing SEM. Hope Mike will do more interesting topics for students who are not good at stats
Dear Mike Crowson, first I want to thank you for always sharing videos with tones of useful information. Your videos have been a great resource for my research.
One question I have is about assessing the local dependency of items in each construct when conducting the path analysis with latent factors. According to a study that I read, it says CFA Modification Indices could be used for detecting locally dependent items. I wonder if you may have any idea with assessing local dependence with CFA - MI (modification indices) when conducting SEM path analysis with the latent factors.
I will appreciate it if you may give any comments or feedback. Thank you!
Sir, great help for people learning SEM. God bless you. My question is not related to the above video but about the comparison of model fit in AMOS. People report fit of three models: full mediation model, partial mediation model, and direct effects model in their articles or thesis and they test hypotheses choosing the best fitting model which is mostly the partial mediation model. My question is when testing the model fit of the direct effect model, should one remove the mediator from the diagram or just remove the paths (arrows from IV to MV and MV to DV). I found very different values for chi square in testing the model fit in these two different approaches. Thanking you in anticipation. regards.
Thank you so much
Hi, your videos are very usefull, I am currently working on a SEM , yet when trying to test my model, it gives me the error of "not estimating any user-defined estimand" what does this mean and how do I solve it?
Thanks
I have a question. I have a sample of 132, do I apply path analysis or SEM? knowing that the variables are latent. Do we do confirmatory factor analysis before path analysis?
Hi I cannot find the description for this video in order to download the SPSS file
yeah that was good
