  • During one of our recent recording trips we encountered our first Cessna 400 Corvalis TT (Twin Turbo). The video shows the aircraft departing the fueling ramp and taxiing for takeoff at Stadtlohn-Vreden airport (EDLS). Enjoy the noise of the 6 cylinder Continental TSIO-550 engine :)
Excuse the shaky camera work, we didn't have time to grab a tripod.
Recorded using a Canon EOS650D and Deity V-Mic D3 Pro.

    Sounds like a 4-bladed Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander

‘Super Rare’. Thats really funny. There are hundreds of these types flying everyday, all over the country.
I, and my family flew one of these for several years. They are wonderful traveling aircraft.
I do apologize. I wrongly assumed that the aircraft was here in the USA.
After I watched it again, I see it had a ‘D’ tail number. Perhaps a Columbia is rather rare in Germany.
Thank you for the post, it brought back fond memories.

Good thing this a sim - this plane engine and brakes would be melted down in a VERY short time.
