Thank you, Fr Chris, for recounting the story of the Prodigal Son, one of my favorite stories in the Bible. In this story, the Father’s Mercy is well illustrated. I found Connor’s ‘Bright Lights Greenville’ organization quite compelling - what a feat for a high school junior! He clearly put love in to action by doing something about the sufferings of others which is the definition of mercy itself. Connor gives me great hope in our next generation. It is my prayer that other young people will follow in his footsteps by being the Hands and Feet of Christ. On this upcoming Father’s Day, let us not only give thanks for our earthly fathers, but also for our spiritual fathers, and, of course, for God our Heavenly Father. For through Him, we find love and Divine Mercy. Thank you, Fr Chris, for being our spiritual father and the shepherd of our flock. May God graciously reward you for being the champion of truth here on this earth.

Fr. Chris, thank you for presenting to us this very important episode of knowing, Who Is God The Father? When was a child, I didn’t really know Him. One time after our family rosary prayer, I asked my father who the Father in heaven is. After the explanation, as a child, it wasn’t difficult for me to believe but rather it increases my faith and love for Him. Because I saw some of the beautiful attributes of my own father a reflection of God’s love, kindness, self- giving for the welfare of the family and others. I want to thank the Farrell family and specially Connor for doing an amazing charitable work for the poor and needy people. May you be an inspiration to the young ones to care and to love without counting the cost. Gods bless you, Fr. Chris, and all who generously gave their time, talent and treasure. Connor you are a remarkable young man. There is no better way to be Christlike, than the way you minister to the poor and homeless. May God bless you. Your generous heart and actions give me so much hope for your generation.
Thank you Father Alar for this wonderful speech. Blessings abundantly for Bright Lights for the Homeless 🥲 the situation is excruciatingly painful to watch yo see what happens to the children of the Almighty God. In addition to distributing items these people need shelter, treatments through rehab and a long lasting job 😞😢🙏
Thank you Father Chris and Father Don for continuing to raise the awareness of the 3 members of the Holy Trinity, through your talks, Ask A Marian segment, and LDM show. Since embracing the Marians, I am so much more aware of the honor we give to God the Father at Mass, especially with your teaching on the Concluding Doxology, and that the Mass is offered to our Heavenly Father. Just having celebrated Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, and Corpus Christi also helps to keep Father, Son and Holy Spirit at front of mind. Kudos to Connor for his commitment to the homeless. I have a dear friend in Florida, Irene, who assembles packets of toiletries, tee shirts, flip flops, fast food gift cards etc and keeps them in a basket in her car. When she sees a homeless person at a stop light, she offers one to him/her. It just goes to show us that we can all do our part to assist the poor.
When hearing the Prodigal story while growing up, I think we all understood the older (dutiful) brother's frustration/anger at all the excitement over his wayward brother. Between hearing my parents saying parents strive to teach us the wisdom from their experiences, and it's always our home/and we're always welcome- I think the father just missed his son. I'm sure he could tell his son "figured some things out", and was just grateful to see him home safe again. (The heart-to-heart could come later.)
Having grown up without a father, you cant unserstand that kind of love. When i converted to catholicism, I grew in understanding of the faith. Somewhere during my daily prayers, i began to call God, "Father God Dad my only Dad that I have ever known" There is such a feeling of security & love that overcomes my entire being. Alwaye & Forever, I love you, my Dad. Happy °Fathers Day. After decades and decades I have my Father. Thank you & God Bless you Father Chris and your entire family. 🙏 ✝️♥️📿🕊
I would like to encourage everyone to honour God the Father this August. A nun called Mother Eugenia reports that God asked her to have a day set aside for the devotion to God the Father of all mankind. He asked that this be done on the first Sunday of August. It seems to have been largely ignored. I believe that we should try to respect this request of Our Father. We seem to have a terrible record of ignoring messages from Heaven. The Messages of the Father to Eugenia in 1932 are the only private revelations (the first time in the history of the Catholic Church) made personally by God the Father; and is recognised as authentic by the Church following ten years of examinations conducted and approved by the Vatican. Yet, it isn't a Feast Day nor mentioned, as far as I can see anywhere in the liturgical calendar. One of the interesting aspects of this story is that on October 7th 2011 the Church of Merciful God the Father became the first Shrine in the world dedicated to Our Heavenly Father. It may be the only one. It is in Zaporizhzhya, and consecration of the Church of Merciful God the Father took place On August 7, 2004. This year of all years we should be praying for Ukraine and joining these prayers as we honour this special day on the first Sunday in August. (By the way Zaporizhzhya is the town with the nuclear plant occupied by the Russians and at serious risk following the dam destruction.) God asked that an image to be made of God the Father of all mankind. When you enter inside of the Shrine you see a magnificent Icon of God the Father which was painted by Lia Galdiolo, one of the most famous contemporary iconographers, to create an icon of the picture of the Father just as He had revealed Himself to Mother Eugenia. It is not surprising that Pope John Paul II tried to pick up where the church had been languishing. He consecrated the cornerstone that than had been donated from the Vatican Basilica and he blessed the construction of the Church of Merciful God the Father and left his signature under the construction project. For me I will be wearing a shirt that day (God willing) that says God the Father. I encourage everyone to do something to honour our creator and Heavenly Father on the first Sunday in August. If you agree with this message please like it so it will be close to the top of the comments and hopefully more people will read it.
God bless you Steve💛🙏, even though I do not agree with any of this Sister Eugenia's message. She is not a Saint dear, and with all due respect, I don't believe the Roman Catholic faith should start new Feast Days, based on just private revelations of a nun... I have read this private revelation of hers last summer, promoted by a Canadian Priest, dear Father Mark Goring. I literally felt sick to my stomach, while first reading it the first time. The second time I tried, I got attacked, as something came through when I downloaded it on my phone. Needless to say, I'm very skeptical about the whole thing... I am a convert from Eastern Orthodoxy and I'm extra sensitive and aware when our One True Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church starts straying from the heart of Catholicism (Which is the Four Gospels, per Catechism), and starts to blend in some strange "Eastern mysticism"...😊🙏
@@zionlion4445 God Bless you too! Thanks for the comment. Of course we are not bound to follow or believe private revelations. It is matter of discernment for each of us. You cannot go wrong holding fast to the Word of God or the divinely inspired scriptures. Private revelations supported by miracles such as Guadaloupe, Las Lajas and Lourdes are easier to accept. For me I believe this one. There is something about the feeling in heart when you hear these things that tell us if they are real, and perhaps your physical reactions when you heard the stories may well be a good way to discern them. But I also know that the evil one does try to steer us away from the right path. Anyway, for me I choose to believe the revelations of Mother Eugenia as it seems to be in no way inconsistent with the Gospels or Epistles or the teachings of the Catholic Church. It also seems to me that honouring our Holy Father for any reason can never be the wrong path to take. I very much respect your view and am grateful you shared it. Thanks again! God Bless!
@@stevemartin6267 Thank you Steve🕊️🙏. The foundation of my Catholic faith is " Our Father ". I do believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is our intermediary. I also believe, through my own witness to the Holy Spirit, that for me, our Blessed Virgin Mary was the gate keeper that led me to the Son. There is no bypassing Jesus, or Mary, to have a relationship with God the Father. This is what the Eastern Orthodox do, and as a convert from Orthodoxy, I am a witness to the fact that it doesn't work very well...They mainly pray to God the Father, and never to Our Lord, Jesus Christ... The three Persons in the Trinity refers to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Here, the Father refers to God the Father. The Son refers to the beloved Son of God, God incarnate - Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is formless and everywhere. They are the three Persons in the Trinity. Trinity is the unity of essence, form, and function. Essence is the Holy Spirit. Function is the function of essence - that is, creating all things. Function refers to the Father. Form is the manifestation of the function of essence, and refers to all things in the world. Among the manifestations of the function of essence, the most special and sinless manifestation is God incarnate - the Son. --Light of Wisdom Church《The Trinity |God from God, Light from Light|Reincarnation | I Am the way, the truth and the life 08》
We name churches after Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Blessed Mother, the Saints and even the angels. Why are Catholic Churches not named after God the Father?

This is what the Eastern Orthodox do, and as a convert from Orthodoxy, I am a witness to the fact that it doesn't work very well...They mainly pray to God the Father, and never to Our Lord, Jesus Christ...
Yeah, I will receive another copy in the mail soon, and I will read this private revelation again, and ask for the Holy Spirit to help me this time, and better pray Psalm 91 for protection too, he he LOL.
I will let you know how it goes, if you wish...
Thank you for sharing and for listening and may the Peace of Christ rule your heart! 🕊️🙏🕊️
I forgot to mention that I am Romanian, and my only uncle was born in what is now called Ukraine...Also being part Polish, I adore "our spiritual uncle", JPII...
I have received a little copy of this magnificent icon you mentioned, and I'm sorry to inform you that it really creeped out both my husband and I. I didn't even bring it into the house, but left it in the car...
Praying for Ukraine 🙏
Praying for Russia 🙏
John Paul the great, please pray for us 🙏
3:20 one of the best scenes of The Simpsons.
"Homer Simpson: The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side"
Man inside the restroom: "THAT'S A RIGHT TRIANGLE, YOU IDIOT"
Why does the ORTHADOX CHURCH say they never change it the way it was in its original form . That the Son and Holy Ghost proceed from the Father. I think it's called the FELIOC?. Something like that. Thank you Father Chris. Love your videos. 🙏🏻🍷🍞⛪️
I'm a convert from Eastern Orthodoxy. They believe that they are the "Right way", which is what Orthodox means, and that the Catholic Church split off from them...
God bless you Angel, this is a good question. 😇🕊️🙏

Fr. Chris, why God the Father is being depicted by the artists as old when HE is ageless.
We name churches after Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Blessed Mother, the Saints and even the angels. Why are Catholic Churches not named after God the Father?
I guess, it's because the Church itself is the Fathers House.
Amen.
