Been loving my 300XC so far! 17 hours on it and it's so much fun. I wonder if he clipped the sensor with his boot somehow, glad I picked up the EE guard for mine.
Doh! Still haven't found the weak spot on my Sherco... chucked it halway up a hill today.. then tossed it back down to a less steep spot. Rode on. Got back to the truck and went to load it.. might have got a little weak on the clutch.. spun it off the ramp and flipped it😁 drat.. my nee rear fender. Crunch. That was all after a tree speared me between the rear fender and muffler. Looked like the tree tried to kill me when we stopped. 😁

Great video. Same thing happened to my 300 TPI, was able to cable tie it back in place to get back to the car, $500 AUD part...not happy !!

You should do an "Anyway whatever" counter in the top right, when you edit update the counter everytime you find yourself saying it!! Also great video and thanks for the info

I’ve had fi bikes don’t get me wrong they run good. However the more complex you make something the more likely you are to have a failure. That’s why I like the Sherco and the Beta so much. They just work.

Always replace the stock plastic cover with a stronger after market one made of aluminum on any KTM type TPI, TBI.
I do before I ride a bike new to me. Plus same for the plastic fuel elbow at the bottom of the gas tank on all TPI's.
Just part of the junk part of KTM's.

Probably had a run in with a stick that grabbed/pushed the wire harness and tweaked it, that cover may have helped.

That or maybe the wires were pinched or misrouted and pulled on by a suspension piece
If no part available and just pulled apart (connections are intact) one could solder or make jumpers to be able to ride at least.

I will bet it happened while the bike was being shipped and it finally gave way when hitting bumps on the trail. Called the unlucky draw of a new bike. Most are perfect but a few have something not so good...
It’s either that or an errant stick but I think you are right.
My 2023 ktm 250xc came from the factory with a smashed radiator, and also on the same side the rear fairing had broken tabs in the plastic… luckily the dealer ended up replacing it after I purchased it… assuming they didn’t notice it at PDI

What happens when a fuel injector fails? How much are the Injectors and how much is a TPS
When an injector fails the bike usually stops or at least runs lean. The TPS on these is $117

It is comical because you'll be in the middle of explaining something and then simply abandon your thought with the now infamous "anyway whatever".....hahahahaha Nothing worse than having it pointed out and now you think about it all the time!

Another reason why I like caveman technology!!! A 250X is never going to have anything like this happen, or any other stupid cheapass electronic solenoid etc.
