Looks better than new. Well done!
Paint job looks good. Good choice.
Some of those parts look brand new.
I was thinking 10 minutes before UA-cam highlighted this video, 'I haven't seen a new video by Woodshop Junkies for a while'.
Great job of restoration.
Very nice results. Like your final choice for paint.
1. more grease oil, really when you think you have way to much you are close. 2. manufacture a dust collection insert for inside the saw as you will eventually want it, and right now is a good time.
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful restoration ready for many years of woodworking.
You sell yourself short, I worked at doing restorations for years and doing it will give you experience just as it did for me. Job very well done and I hope you rehab another in the future
I really like the color scheme you used on this table saw. Very impressive
Another old piece of equipment looking new and refreshed for another set of decades of use, WELL DONE :D
Definitely the right choice for the colour scheme ... well done! have a like
Good choice for the colour scheme. Works well.
And well done on your first time restoration.
I came across your video because I have a bench saw restoration project to get started on soon. Your video was very helpful and I enjoyed seeing your saw go from old to fully restored. Love the hammered paint color you chose. I dare not disassemble my bench saw to the extent you did yours knowing I'd never get it put back together right, but I will clean, polish, and paint what I can safely. Thanks for the great video. Well done.
You have brought that saw a new life, well done
Great restoration!
1st 😊 ..best way to start fathers day, a cup of coffee and a "W.J" update👍
You really did a great restoration job .. 👍👍
In my opinion, in this case, experience is not necessary the most important thing. And I say that because this table saw is not a very complicated machinery. So with the right attitude, ambition and patience, it's very much possible to do such a great job like you did. The result speaks for itself.
Great, great job! 👍😎 Bravo!
Should you have done anything differently? YES! you should have purchased two table saws to restore so we could enjoy this series twice 😭😭😭😭
That paint finish came out phenomenally, thank you for introducing me to hammer finish paint.
Hey, hope you and yours are safe and well in these troubled times.
Absolutely beautiful result. You should be proud. I hope it gives you many years of joy. Bravo!
Very awesome job on the Table Saw restoration. That Table Saw ill Last several generations. Glad to see you have an awesome table saw.
For someone who hasn’t done a restoration, I’d say you did a superb job!! Looks fantastic and great choice in the hammered finish.
Outstanding job, looking forward to do that to my antique General table saw. Awesome video. Thank you.
Excellent job and I think the paint color is exactly right.
My favorite shop UA-camr.
Good job. One recommendation-when pushing or whacking bearings in place, use a tube that pushes on the outside ring, othetwuse you risk damaging the bearing races.
Unless it was a tighter fit on the shaft than it was on the OD. You want to press (hammer) on the race that is the press fit, or if possible, both at the same time.
Looks fantastic! I bought a 1960 model of this saw and painted it metallic green and silver. It’s a real workhorse and nothing stops it. Built like a tank. Love it.
Brilliant 👍 really like the colour scheme. Definitely well done, looking forward to seeing you using it.
I love recueing the old iron! Particularly interested in your riving knife set-up. Please document that and share with us firther!
Nicely done. Might I suggest a clear coat for the sign to prevent the bare metal rusting, a coat of pastewax or carwax on the table for rust prevention(oil will soak into the wood you're cutting and cause issues), and replacing the handles on the x and y with crank handles, as it will be faster and more comfortable to turn them
Beautiful job! No changes.
Absolutely stunning. Appreciate the video!
Great attention to detail, and it looks great.
For someone who hasn’t done restoring before you have done a stunning job. You should be proud thanks so much for sharing
Perfect color choice looks fantastic. Well done!!
That old saw looks new! Very nice.
Very nice choice of paint and color, you will enjoy using it when it's done.
Great job. The paint was a good choice. Looks fantastic 👍🏽
This is looking fantastic. Great work!
That saw looks fantastic! Great job my friend!
Awesome job and great colour choice!
Wow...great job. You did great. Hoping you do a video with different throat plates, one for dados, angles, and regular zero clearance. Easy to do with so many uses.
A very well executed restauration! Now for some projects where you use it! Cheers!
Well done Jaun. Think its a great looking and very functional tool added to you shop!!
Nicely done! Looking forward to how you reorganize your shop flow now!
Awesome job! I like the color scheme and the hammered paint was a great choice.
Great job! Looking forward to seeing it in action!
Brilliant! That looks amazing!
Looking good!! Excellent restoration job.
You did a wonderful job with that saw. Pat yourself on the back because you have restored a tool that will server you well for many years to come. Fabulous work!
Looks like a new machine! Great work!
Nice job Jean! Saw looks great. Top result for a “lack of experience”. Looks like a pro job to me.
Looks amazing and yes, I can't wait to see the final restoration stage. 😍
Greetings from Guyana, South America.
looks fantastic, wow!
Wow, what an improvement! Great job mate.
I like the color of the saw now and you did a really good job
Very nice. Like the hammered paint scheme.
Mate, well done, this series has been an absolute joy to watch, especially since you've had limited experience as you say yourself.. Well done.
Best woodshop channel on UA-cam. No one builds the stuff you do, the engineering is dope and I'm loving the restoration series.
Nice job
Very nice Jean!
I just spent about 10 hours sorting out the riving knife support bracket (had to machine a new one) as my identical saw (AGS 10) did not have one.
As with you, this resto has taken me much much more time than anticipated, but am sure we will have solid saws that will still be good in another 50 years!
I am also looking at machining a new bracket. I have the original bracket but it is broken and doesn't seem repairable.
Awesome job, I purchased a vintage 27 inch bandsaw last fall for a song and a lot of luck and plan on restoring it to show room new. It runs great and is going to be a head turner when I'm done
Very nice colour You did a really good job on your table saw restoration Congrats !!
What a beauty!
Good to see you sprayed the whole logo plate and just sanded the outermost surface.
It is now starting to look like a collectable item
Awesome job. Doesnt look like a first time at all.
Well done it looks fantastic
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
Great job...looks fantastic.
Great job! You're doing some really good work here!
I started to watch the restoration videos to see how you cleaned off rust, but ended up hooked, and watching until the saw was done. Great at explaining your process. Great finished product. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great to see it finished and the hammered paint finish is perfect I've used it many times on old vices trailers it looks really good
Mooi stukkie handewerk. Baie goeie kopie en restorasie.
That looks amazing!
Good day Jean,
I acquired a used Wadkin back in the 1980's. It had the same horrid green paint job. Without you're expertise I had to live with it, until the day it rusted I to oblivion.
So I'm not criticizeing your choices. HOWEVER, with your abilities and brand I would have shyed away from metallic Gray. It seems to Monochrome and Provincial.
Instead you could have hightened your brand by keeping the base the same Tan / Sand color of your logo's background.
With the various knobs, Wadkin labels, blade guards, and safety attachments in the existing Black.
You could have painted the edges & trim in your logo's Orange. Especially around the table tops handholds. A subliminal reminder to keep your hands away from the cutting blade.
If I possessed the same skill set, as you have demonstrated numerous times before, I would most likely still own that table saw.
Thank you for your great episodes.

Looks and sounds great.
Nice work It is looking good.
Just amazing!! :)
Just one word: wauw. 🤗🤤
Ha! Standing ovation.
It turned much better than I expected. You are a Pro Restorator since now.
P.S. You may call Diresta for your ice pick.
That looks great!!
Can't believe it was over a year ago when you first got the saw...
Now I'm rewatching/ binge watching the table saw playlist before watching the newest/last vid.
Great job looks fantastic
Looks good. I love the paint colour. Great job 😁👍🏼👏
Great job thanks for sharing.
Very nice work. Looks really great.
Brilliant job.Ready for another 50 years.Stay safe.Have a Bàuerle Ulmia 1612 from the sixties.Beat the junk they sell today hands down every day.
Good for you man that's solid work! I can't even recognize it from the before images.
Great color scheme!
Simply awesame! You don´t have to say more.
The saw is looking AMAZING. Well done indeed. I can't wait to see how it cuts. Keep up the great work!
How cool does that look!
Amazing job.
I have a 1962 AGS 10 and also swapped out the motor to single phase. The riving knife in my model is fixed and does not lift with the blade. I have made a zero clearance blade insert and use Microjig splitters which work well. I have the original fence but it is finicky to adjust. I have subsequently replaced it with a VerySuperCool Tools fence. A great upgrade. It is a great table saw but dust collection was not a key part of the design back in 1962.
Come up great. You wont want to get it dusty. Good paint choice. You should be very proud of your effort. Cheers from NZ
Patience is a virtue. The end result is well worth the wait. That Wadkin Bursgreen table saw is a beauty👊. In Cape Town we say it's "Duidelik"
Awesome work!!!
You know you're a woodworker when... You are picking bolts that match your paint. Sweet.
That is outstanding work.
Looks extremely good. The paint scheme works well.
At some point you are going to have to ensure the blade is square to the table and that the angle gauge is set correctly.
The only other thing as a novice that I might suggest is that after just letting the saw run for a while like 20 or 30 minutes is to go back and check tightness on the bolts.
Perhaps you could use a torque wrench.
Other than that again outstanding work.
@@WoodshopJunkies Anytime. I have had bolts on machinery work loose before.
Finding the torque specs might be a chore.
You might also try Loc Tite thread locker. For the bolts you will never remove again.
That was a cool trick with the coin.
Great work, be proud, for someone who says they don't know what they are doing, you did a professional job
it looks awesome. great job!!
You should be very proud of the results; everything looks excellent. Not only does the color scheme and texture look super-clean and sleek, the process of taking it apart gives you very detailed knowledge about the workings of that saw. That will serve you well in the future as you maintain it. It is truly one-of-a-kind now, as you've made it your own. Fantastic work, sir!
