Don't underestimate the power of these strikes! They are a great tool for the tool box. Does anyone have and palm conditioning techniques they would like to share?

Great long demo‼️One should never underestimate the stinging pain of a palm strike and/slap. In addition to the pain, you can cover more area surface area. I feel that not only is pain generated, but the strike can be disorienting, especially in the face, on the nape, and on the ear. Good stuff 💯

It’s nice to see the differences between Panantukan (also known as Filipino dirty boxing) and Silat in this video; while Panantukan is more reactive and tends to seize opportunities, Silat is more fluid, with more posture changes, and focuses more on creating opportunities. As always, great work!

Another solid demo that can also be used as a training drill to hone in on technique and speed.

Awesome techniques. Those strong parries are a lot more devastating than people realize. If you’re heavier or stronger than the other guy sometimes it can almost even take someone off their feet

@@EdgedTacticalSystems oh ok, I live in Philadelphia and the closest thing we have to Silat is Wing Chun in our Chinatown section. I might just go there and train that because I’d rather train in person than train over zoom.

@@EdgedTacticalSystems I just realized that there’s a Kali training center in my city as well and I just learned on google that Kali came from Silat. Is this true ?

@@animallover7072 you will find a lot of similarities between both arts. I believe over the years kali picked up movements from Silat. If there is a Kali school I would check it out. It’s definitely the next best thing. Just find out what type of Kali they are teaching.
