People unironically being unable to discern that this is clearly trolling is baffling. People getting upset/angry over these "outrageous" requirements are hilarious. This meme content creates a cycle of engagement, which gets more eyes on the guild/players. This eventually means more subs, memes, reactions. It is a win/win.
With what happened with the four horseman grief I wouldn't be surprised if guilds were being ultra strict about recruitment. But come on, taking these guys seriously and insulting them for what is clearly a meme/troll fest is just sad.
Most people here were unable to tell advertisesp was making his voice up, so I don't expect them to figure this out either.

I was in a Counterstrike clan (Crimson Empire) that reminds me of this. It was run like a military unit. With military rankings, medals and corporal punishment. 6 hour practices, 4 nights a week with ranked matches, league and tournament 3 nights a week. It was incredibly stressful but rewarding and fun. I get why people want to be in a clan like this. 😄

I think the first Asmongold video i ever watched was forever ago, back in retail tbc i think. It was Asmongold explaining how they interview applicants. The interviews were over an hour. We should have a throw back to that.
This is priceless. I can't believe someone can be this goofy. He'd sell his soul to get in that guild, despite the fact that we will take anyone as long as you are vouched for by another member. Basically just don't suck, and make yourself valuable and enjoyable to play with in a dungeon. You don't even have to join in a raiding capacity, and ofc it's free, there's no fee, lmao.

Nearly every guild that seriously raids does interviews, but its more to see if you are a fit for the guild than anything else. Certainly not anything weird. That said this interview is just riddled with ridiculous terms and conditions, i think they are mostly memeing tho.

As a former raider with Deus Vox(#6 guild in U.S. at the time) back in WOTLK, this is a normal guild interview for that tier, minus the taxes and $500 fail fee(they just benched you if you did it 3+ times consecutively)

Had a guild named Shock on Ravencrest during original wotlk. Those guys had me send a resume and application on their guild website where officers would later go and discuss my application on the open forum.
I decided a guild was not needed and just pugged myself through the entirety of wotlk. I can´t speak for the xpacs that came after that since i quit the game, but one thing´s for sure. No guild required in wotlk xD.

Back in wotlk/cata I once had an interview like this for a top guild, paid to change servers etc, paid the guild tax, did the professions, jumped through all the hoops, had all the gear, and then never got a raid spot, even though i was supposedly in the list and had the guild rank for it. Later i found out that they never intended to give any applicant a raid spot, they just wanted people to fund them. Ended up changing servers again and getting server firsts with a different guild as the top healer, and actually felt like part of the guild after missing out on a huge chunk of an expansion. Pretty much missed ulduar to twilight and ended up doing arena instead

I was playing Fortnite one night and was interrogated by a girl and her two goons after a round of the Witcher creative death match as to whether I was worthy to stay in their squad to run BRs. At 2 AM. I thought it was a joke so I treated it like an informal job interview and she kept saying shit like "Answer the question. If you don't answer all our questions you'll be kicked from the party."
I had friended them because it's hard to meet decent fortnite players born after 2010 in random pugs so I laughed and said "Really? I already have a job if you don't want to play I'll bounce right now."
One of the henchman laughed out loud like I was bluffing and no one would ever willingly refuse their Royal Semptress unless it was a ploy for special favor and I had the three unfriended and blocked before the inquisition could move forward.
These were adults in their 20s or 30s and they were serving me first day of high school finding a lunch table vibes and lord knows I'm to old for that shit.
I like how they ask Mitch to wear a suit & tie on stream while raiding and half the viewers don't realize this is an elaborate troll and race to the comment section to hate on Bobka & Ahmpy LOL

1:10 I never got why people dislike the idea of guild tax, like... if you're going to spend weeks and months with these guys, it just makes sense to invest for the entire guild when talking consumables and whatnot.
Because it's predatory and a scam, 99.9% of the time. Every guild I've ever seen with a tax just collects a big pile of gold that only the leader and their IRL friends can access.
Besides there's already an in-built tax system. Guilds having tax means they're taxing you extra on top of the tax.
Usually large guilds have bots that fund their gbank, or it's just RMT'd
