Interesting design, especially the fishing chair and accessory to stand on the bow. In a similar size boat that fit in the trunk of my small sedan. I love my Sea Eagle Paddleski's. I have the new 437ps model and the older 435ps too. I tend to think it's far cheaper than the Neptvn Pro 400, but I'm not completely sure on the price of that boat but I heard 5k with motor and accessories. The 437ps sells for about $1500 with two swivel seats. It's 14' long, has a drop stitch floor you can stand and cast on, and it takes up to a 6HP motor. You can also paddle it as a kayak in very calm conditions, especially with 2 paddlers. It has 5 air chambers. I have a similar lithium motor, a more than 10 year old Torqeedo 1003s 3HP equivalent. My 435ps is 15 years old, has been used over 500 times at more than 125 locations. Using an electric pump saves time and effort. It's never been patched. I don't fish, but I do a lot of sight seeing and some kayaking. The 435ps paddles better as a kayak than the 437ps and lighter to carry, but neither are heavy. I also have a full sail rig for my 435ps. Awesome boats. Check them out on UA-cam as there are many videos online. The 435ps takes 17 from the time you park til your on the water with the motor, vest on and accessories on the boat. The 437s maybe 4-5 mins more as it has larger tubes and 5 air chambers and a drop stitch floor. I CONSIDER THE SEA EAGLE PADDLESKI THE WORLD'S MOST VERSATILE INFLATABLE BOAT.
Seaeagle needs to step up their game. I agree that for the price you can't beat the ps437 but these features like the reinforced bottom , center console seat / bar and decks make this boat better .. but not for 3k more .
It is a nice little inflatable Kaboat no doubt, and the portability is incredible however, the boat inflatable floor is an integrated part of the assembly which makes the boat what it is. Therefore the boat has 4 air chambers! It's pretty much like saying that the spare tier is not part of the vehicle...
A kaboat with some platforms for standing and mounting front motor will do same thing i think..i really like this boat great design and portability...as for me..i will keep modifying my kaboat but if i could afford it this boat would be my companion on my overland setup.
How does your kaboat work? Been thinking about buying one and putting on a casting platform. Any thoughts and the stability of standing and fly casting on the kaboat?
Not sure if my last comment went through. How do you like your kaboat? Did you create a platform? I want to be able to stand and cast but am worried about the stability
The middle bolt / nut on the bow motor mount, underneath the front platform, is definitely resting right on top of the chamber. Is there a way to use a recessed bolt so that it's at least flush with the bottom of the deck plate, and not resting right on the fabric? Given that we are going to stand on the front platform, this appears to be a puncture just waiting to happen. 😬
The Xi3 quick release bracket (if that is what you are using) comes with 2 sets of hardware, a shorter set of mounting bolts and a long set. You should use the shorter set. Or, i you already are, or you are using a different motor, you should be able to go to the hardware store and get a shorter bolt with the same threading and size.
The price is completely insane. I was hyped until I clicked the website. I could fully rig a fishskiff 16 from sea eagle for less than this thing costs naked.
You are right, they do not give these away. However, the build quality and materials set this inflatable boat apart from many of its competitors. We also understand that budgets are realistic barriers all of us have to manage. We are happy to see people get on the water in any way that works for them! We were blown away by how easy this was to assemble and how stable/durable and fast it was on the water. Thank you for watching!
We can't tell if this is sarcasm or genuine, but we are going to assume it is genuine because this boat is extremely durable and you definitely do get what you pay for here.
@@ecofishingshopI don’t seem to understand, this boat is made out of PVC. Boat might last you 5 years. Orca Hypalon is much more superior than PVC. High price point, with sub par materials.
German engineered, $4,000: I'd expect a better acceptance of the stand platforms. I think some less expensive inflatables do it better and are more rugged. I think it is better to spend less and if the less expensive model springs a leak in a couple of seasons, maybe the German Engineers will have an improved model.
Hello @jamesslaughter5183. Just curious, do you have experience with the NEPTVN? In our experience it is quite rugged and well built. It is manufactured to withstand a lot of different conditions. We don't shy away from customers finding more affordable options that fit their budget, but this rig is worth the money.
Holy s*** $5k with floor/decking thing and over $7k with motors!!! You guys on drugs??? For that price go buy a Stryker inflatable (which are also higher priced), but at least then you get a real boat that can handle the ocean, lakes, and rivers, can mount a 30hp motor and even a jet motor if you so desire and will still fit in the truck of your car. $7k is insane for this and nobody that wants to spend that much will put the time every visit to build this boat. Cool looking boat but grossly overpriced with better products out there.
The NewPort NT300 currently is listed at $1,199 and the MotorGuide Xi3 is $849, for a total of $2,050. You can mount any number of motors of your choosing on this vessel - more or less expensive. We often build out our kayaks and boats differently for our videos to show you what is possible, not what you are required to do. What constitutes a real boat is in the eye of the beholder. Boats have plenty of advantages over kayaks or inflatable rafts. But they don't have every advantage. This raft can handle whitewater rivers that a boat would never be able to even attempt. Many of our customers own boats and kayaks. Some even have left boats behind for a more challenging and intimate way of fishing that can reach areas or rivers and lakes that they previously weren't able to do so. You often pay for what you get, and the NEPTVN is ruggedly built vessel that less expensive models cannot match in durability. However, we also advocate for spending within your means and always making sure you include accessories within your budget pricing, not just the boat/kayak itself. Tight lines!
You kinda proved my point tho. $4k for your kayak boat thing, $2k in motor stuff and probably still need a battery for like $500. For that same price you could get an ocean rated inflatable boat that can do the same things but also have the ability to do more. Will still be able to fish shallow and, if a Stryker pro, will be a million times more durable due to the shielding on the bottom. Stryker will be able to have more people or animals on it, can mount a jet motor for rivers, outboard for lakes and oceans, trolling motor for a quieter experience. Has premium EVA foam flooring, more stable, faster, has a Bimini, has mounts for whatever you want. Can downrigger fish, etc. Price for this kayak is still insane to me. I see this as a singular purpose vessel which sure works for some, but hot damn guys; lower your price and attack the kayak field for peets sake not the premium full size boat market lol. Good luck in your future endeavors though.
This boat is a TON of fun and has so many applications. We were really surprised by its ease of setup, takedown and durability. It would be a really fun river raft too. You get what you pay for here.
In this case, you definitely get what you pay for though. It is such an easy inflatable to set up with rigidity that will stand up to river rafting. It is a great middle ground between a fishing kayak and a boat. While the price tag may look high, this is one of those cases where the ingenuity of the boat itself makes it a great value.
Hi @johndoen822. I can see why there is some confusion from this video as maybe we didn't clearly state that parts of the Neptvn are German made. From Neptvn's website: "We don't use the standard cheap PVC used for common inflatable boats, we use the MEHLER TEXNOLOGIES VALMEX® FABRIC 0.9mm 1100 dtex, made in Germany." In the part of the video you reference, Caleb was discussing the durability of the material that was made in Germany. Hopefully this clears that up a bit. What did you think of the boat overall?
For $4,200, you get a portable boat that is extremely durable and capable of taking on many different types of water. If you were a river drifter, this boat would be an amazing fit. Obviously, it is not for everyone and for every situation, but this is a case where the price matches the quality.
Worth it when you consider how stable and portable it is. You have to consider other expenses like a trailer or truck. Quality in material and workmanship as well. Design and engineering.
Which part? We thought it would be more complex and cumbersome ourselves, but were really surprised by how easy it is to set up and how sturdy the entire boat is.
We can assure you, this vessel is not junk. This is a meticulously crafted inflatable boat that is built for tough conditions and to be user-friendly to assemble. Have you tried a Neptvn Pro 400?

It is surprising how easy it is to get set up and tore down. Really comfortable ride and really durable. It can go on a lot of water types as well.

@ecofishingshop Thank you so much for replying. This really looks like the ideal setup for me here in Nova Scotia.

It’s German bud, it’s better. Does sea eagle have a front platform like this one
