For every tournament, first place gets 200 points, 2nd place gets 199 points, third gets 198, etc... all the way down the line. So because Ben finished in 3rd, he received a ton of points. Combine that with the fact that the guys ahead of him going into Harris didn't perform well, he was able to catapult himself in points and grab a spot. Thanks for the sub 🤛

The Elites are like the major leagues of bass fishing. The Classic is like the Superbowl of the sport. The most common way to make the Elites is to fish the Bassmaster Opens and finish in the top 9 for the year. Some of the Opens tournaments had well over 200 competitors this year so the competition was fierce. You can earn an entry into the Classic a number of different ways. The top 40 anglers from the Elites earn an entry. Another way is to win one of the Opens tournaments. Hope this helps!

So cool watching a UTUBE fisherman make it & prove all the Nay Sayers wrong! Dudes helped me catch so much more fish with 6sense baits, it's incredible...
All these guy's deserve it....ben is gonna be good for B.A.S.S.....i hope bobby lane stays in the opens next year him and is need to room together and get a video guy to document it
Heartbreaking for Bobby. I missed making the Elites by 4 pounds last year and finished fist-man-out so I know how it feels. He's a talented fisherman... he'll bounce back.
