The relay and using 30 amp circuit is overkill. Since these are 18w each that means they draw 36w total and if you devide that by your voltage of 12, you get a whopping 3 amps of power draw. I wired up mine to aux #4 and no relay. And for anyone wondering to find amp draw just divide the wattage by the voltage. If the amp draw is more than the switch can handle, that's when you use a relay.
Picked up my Bronco a couple weeks ago and just got these lights today in the mail. It was a treat to come across this excellent instructional vid, because I am horrible at wiring. Thank you
@@JJBanuelos so you planning on a aftermarket front bumper with 3" pod cutouts? Just wondering the procedure for hooking up the same lights in the front bumper area. I'm asking you because your explanation in this video made sense to me as opposed to so many others did not. Thanks
@@JJBanuelos shoot would have been nice thanks for doing the video hopefully we will get our Bronco this summer it is scheduled for the 6-6 build week.
6:45 *There is NO reason for shrink wrap over a compression butt spice!* 🤦♂ And on a positive note, congrats for pointing the Pod to the ditch, California Idiots point them straight over the hood. Remember the Alamo!
If I heard “uplifter” switches one more time 😂😂😂

Thanks for the tips.
Nice work! If you plan on installing a winch then you might want to save aux 1 for that. These lights should be no problem for a 10a circuit.
Thanks! Yeah I do plan on eventually doing a winch. I’ll switch it over to another Aux circuit at that time. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
great videos man. i suck at this stuff and your videos are the only ones that show every step in the detail
Appreciate it that, glad this was helpful!
Were can that wiring harness you’re using?
Hey random question but where did you buy the shorty antenna? I’ve seen a few on Amazon but not sure which one to buy
Sure, this is the one I used. amzn.to/3QI5w9A
Great video. Where did you find "The Stubby" for a Bronco? Any issues with it?
Appreciate it that. I’ll see if I can send you a link to it
These are 18w or 32w ?
Looks like your plastic trim is not aligned anymore also….
Yeah it’s not going back together right only on one side. Ford 🤦🏻♂️

Why didn’t you used the relay and fuse? is not a risk do not use them?
The uplifter switches are already fused & relayed so there’s no reason to have another inline
I thought I read that Ford ran wires to each of these pod spots was that not the case?
Nope they only ran them how I should you. They have the same setup on the ford Raptor
